I give it a year
Anyone seen this??
I did, its the funniest thing Ive seen for some time! ![]() ![]() I was crying with laughter at some points. Ive heard some people say the 2lead characters weren't very sympathetic, but I don't see them an unlikeable, just incompatible. What did you think of it? |

I'm planning on going tomorrow. Is it one of those "all the funny bits are in the trailer" type films?

Saw this earlier, thought it was cheesy, predictable, rom-com nonsense, I loved it

I'm going next week. I can't wait if I'm honest, I've read some really good reviews.

It was okay but nothing particularly memorable, it's all been done before.

I'm umming and ahhing about this one. I can't think of a decent modern comedy film that has made me laugh out loud even just once in years. I've been to all the so called, you must see it it's hilarious films and not laughed and interestingly enough for me it's not made the other people in the cinema laugh. If it's lucky it will make me smile and I might hear people gently chuckling occasionally, but not really laugh out loud proper laughing.
The fact that other people in the cinema weren't cracking up confirms that it's not just me that was thinking not that funny, predictable joke or trying too hard to be funny. Usually I end up leaving there thinking that was a way to kill 90-120 minutes and think of it as a play or drama as it sure as hell wasn't funny. Thinking back I think the last films that had me really laughing were Airplane and the first Police Academy. The only clip I've seen of this film is the wedding speech scene with Stephen Merchant and that got a nothing from me as it was nothing fresh and different. |

Will probably see I Give It a Year on Thursday because it's that kind of film. Though why Zero Dark Thirty doesn't count as a Valentine's film is beyond me. |

I went to see it on Saturday with my movie group and I loved it especially at the Dr Quinn Joke when they are playing charades.

After sitting through the worthy Lincoln for two and a half hours, I found this film a great relief. It doesn't pretend to be anything but a light comedy. And it worked for me.
Great fun. Had me laughing out loud. Reminds me of things like The Worst Week of My Life (Ben Miller) and Meet the Fokkers. |

I have no idea why but I absolutely despise American and Australian actresses doing British accents. Like eating cotton wool

I thought Rose Byrne's accent was flawless actually. Saw this today and absolutely loved it. Funny, funny stuff - one of the funniest films i've seen in years.

I loved this film and laughed out loud a few times which is unusual for me!
Can anyone help with an actresses name - she was one of Nat's work colleagues with long hair? thanks |

IMDB's cast list for this film is really odd. It doesn't give the names for several of the main characters and it's impossible to work out who Nat's colleagues were from the information given. Couldn't the film company be bothered to supply the details?

I think i've worked out who the long haired actress is because I suddenly remembered that she was in "Episodes" - is it Daisy Haggard ? http://wooller.com/sites/wooller/gal..._shaw_5592.jpg It does seem daft that IMDB doesn't have the full cast list |
