Just been reading this story over on mail online about David Bowie's former wife Angie.
Now being a Bowie fan and being around when David Bowie first came on to the music scene. I read everything about him at the time about his music and his lifestyle and Angie as I recall was the one that was the driving force behind Bowie.
As I recall when the marriage wasn't going so good and they wanted to divorce Bowie took their son to Switzerland and Angie was left here in Britain and she was given a settlement from Bowie on condition that their son remained with him.
There are a lot of comments about angie being bitter but wouldn't you if you had had your young child taken out of the country by his rich and famous father and there was nothing you could really do.

Aye well maybe he did But I still feel we have never heard the full story of what really happened and why Bowie seemed determined to keep their son from her. I think one of the clauses when she got a settlement from him was that she wasn't to write anything about their personal life.

Which is a shame. I think Angie and Duncan did have some contact and met a few years ago but as Angie had never been in his life as he was growing up when they met they were like two strangers. Bowie should never have taken their son away like he did no wonder she feels the way she does.

He decided not to have contact with her from the age of 13 and she was in his early life - I think Bowie got custody when he was 9

Bowie has always been very ambitious, even throughout the lean 60's years.

To be fair, when Angie arrived on the scene she did help him a lot (with his image etc.) but she went off the rails when Bowie chucked her.
