Favourite 80's band?
You can only pick one band and the favourite song by them.
![]() I know there are to many to name but please try to keep it to just the one. Did you see them live or meet them? Cheers all. I love hearing 80's bands stories.

talk talk, and the human league are possibly my favs. talk talk had a string of classier tracks, the human league started great but went too pop. id add dexys midnight runners and teardrop explodes into my mix. talk talk are the only ones i havnt seen live, the others were fantastic. fav tracks human league - sound of the crowd dexys - dance stance (aka burn it down) talk talk - lifes what you make it teardrop explodes - when i dream. |

Haha i no almost impossible to pick just the one. I love Talk talk and dexys also. What a era for music. I went through my record collection last night and treated my ears to sweet music for a change. They were the days.

Not a fan of that decade's music, I only really like the early eighties, but here are half a dozen I'm quite fond of:-
The Stranglers - Golden Brown Kraftwerk - The Model Dexy's Midnight Runners - Geno Human League - Don't You Want Me The Smiths - How Soon Is Now The Specials - Ghost Town |

whilst I love 80's music, I'm a bit reluctant to relegate any artists to being an '80's act', mainly because many of the artists I loved from the 80's are still producing good or even great work in the 90's, 00's and even now. Or some of the artists I liked had their greatest success in the 80's but were active in the 70's - does that make them an '80's group'?
I'll go for The Smiths and The Housemartins, since both formed, had success and disbanded in the 80's. |
