PS4 What do you want to see?
Okay with it set to be announced (hopefully) on the 20th what would you like to see?
Backwards compatibility - Hopefully for ps3 games and definitely with purchased items from PSN store no way should my PSN bought items no longer be available) Multi Tab - Being able to play music on Sony music unlimited, switch to a game play that whilst listening to the music, maybe then switch to the ps store and buy something then switch back to the game, in the way the psvita sort of works. Being able to play games and keep them open would also be good so if i'm in the middle of Sleeping Dogs and a friend comes in I can put on Fifa play him then return back to the exact spot i was. Better media integration from Mobile phone apps, connecting to PC and laptops etc. Super HD - Just to ensure it's future proofed Fast blu ray player - So better graphics can be displayed Ability to install to HDD or SSD More connections with the vita - Use the vita as a pad like the Wii U would be good PS+ to continue |

Freeview HD dongle - but I doubt it going by how Sony have forgotten about and let turn to s--t PLAY TV -
http://community.eu.playstation.com/.../td-p/16858898 for me, I still have a lot of games I haven't played on the ps3, + the slim July 2012 model is far better than the phat - whisper quite. Fusion drive like apple - so SSD / HDD hybrid Youview style epg for tv - so using a freeview HD dongle, you can watch iplayer etc in one app |

http://sonyfanatic.com/2013/02/the-2013-xmb/ It isn't too dissimilar from the square style of the new store, just a lot more bland than it. |

The ability to play music from the hard drive whilst playing every game, not just a select few.

Hardware, etc:
Backwards compatibility, definitely with PSN, preferably with PS3 games. No always-on internet requirement. No used game blocking. Specific games / series: Someone to make a driving game or GTA clone using an engine like Rigs of Rods. A non-NFL / NCAA American football game. Final Fantasy XV. Elder Scrolls VI. |

Can tell you what I don't want to see, dual camera (eyetoy 2) a gimmick that will only add to the cost of the console with little benefit to the user.
Would like to see USB's at the rear of the console, an absolute must for keeping things neat and tidy when using accessories. This could be the deciding factor in me buying a PS4 or not serious issue !

I really hate this boxes/tab style view which everything seems to be using now, I much prefer a simple text list as I find that so much easier/faster to read/navigate than having to look at boxes. The thing I love about the current XMB is that its neat, tidy, fast, easy to read (Via the list view) & out the way (allowing me to use custom backgrounds). Something I'd like to see on both PS4 & the Xbox720 is more customization on the dashboard. If you don't like the default layout/style maybe have multiple different layouts like an 'xmb classic' style or some way of customizing the view & layout. |

I cannot for the life of me thin of any reason why Sony cannot build a decent browser.
The ps3's browser is shockingly bad, but the tech is 8? years old .... then theres the Vita. In 2012 Sony still couldn't build a good browser for a handheld device, Phones have had great browsers in them for years but one of the biggest tech companies in the world cannot throw a good one together. Grrr |

Sony aren't apple - they seem to suffer from having 'too many cooks' ie no real clear direction or design ethos - a bit all over the shop really - they tend to make lousy software such as web browsers - anyone use the sony audio software wth minidiscs?

If Sony were Apple the Original PS3 would have cost £700 and ALL of the features added in Firmware updates would have required a new SKU to be purchased every 18 months.

Anyway, I'd like to see a smaller, sleeker machine under my TV, with USB ports at the back.
I'd like it to play all my disc and PSN games, as well as BluRay movies, although I'd be happy if any backward compatibility is handled by Gaikai streaming as a part of PS+. If they are going for bundled "Move2.0" I want it to be entirely optional as a control system, with a standard controller remaining as an option. Conversley, I'd like cross-controlling with Vita to become much bigger and easier to implement for developers.... speaking of which..... The biggest and most important of all is that the PS4 should be easier for people to make games on, while at the same time providing enough power to give us a nice step-up in terms of what devs can do over the next five years or so. I'm not asking for THAT much am I? |

A much improved online system/gameplay is all I want. Seriously they have no excuses for screwing up this time. they really need to at least match the current xbox live in everything.

I want it to come with support for an SSD and the ability to fully install games to it to reduce load times.
I also would like upto date graphics with full support for all features of modern game engines such as Unreal 4, Frostbote 2, CryEngine 3, Fox, Luminous, Glacier 2, AnvilNext, Source 2 and Unity 4. And last but not least an extension of media player capacities including cross game chat! and maybe an App Store for better updates for catchup TV as well as other multimedia and simple games. Ohh yeah and a Freesat/Freeview tuner that doesn't suck.
