What does everyone think of him?

Chris Evans says he is going to be an international megastar.

I've only heard Lightning Bolt, which I think is pretty cool.

Way too early.

First album, not bad movement for someone who has only just arrived. Second album is what it's all about though, he has to better it and it has to be a commercial success.

Good songwriter.
Good guitarist.
Decent voice.

Hes really good and going the right way shouting his mouth off if latest reports are true to selling a shed load of records. We will have to see if the 2nd album is strong. 1st very good i just hate all the cocky stance singers like him take. Trouble will begin when he starts to belive his own hype.

As it stands right now, I like his music.

However, I do agree with this.

I don't like him, it's not that I just don't like his type of music.
It's his personality, he brags, he's cocky and arrogant and sometimes straight up rude.

Leona fans evidently still pissed off I see... he was right in what he said about her. Sooner people accept it, the better.

The only thing he was wrong about was Mumford & Sons.

I'm no Leona fan. I just don't like that he's overly confident and cocky. I don't like that about anyone, famous or otherwise.

He didn't say anything cocky or boast about his own work.

It was an opinion, no different to what anyone says on here... i'm pretty certain everyone sits, listens to a piece of music and says "that's crap".

Would you rather he said he thought X Factor was wonderful despite him not actually believing that? I would have less respect for him for then being an arse kisser and a liar.

He is talented but he's a one trick pony. That's not to say I don't appreciate his talent, I just think he's limited in scope and ability.

Love his voice, he has potential. I like his album, some really good tracks but he needs to freshen his sound a little for album number 2 and show some real versatility.

Jake Bugg is what you'd get if Noel Gallagher and NME got married and then had a baby together.

So to sum up, no, he's not my thing.

It would be better if he actually judged an artist based on their music rather than the fact that they were on X Factor. Many contestants go on to make excellent albums and they all sound very different. Also, I have listened to some of his songs and in my opinion they are rubbish. They sound like Oasis b-sides that no one listened to.

He is an "arse-kisser". Being anti-X Factor is exactly what you need to do to get rock fans (his target audience really) to like you.

Oasis B-sides wiped the floor with most artists leading singles from what I remember... Talk Tonight, Half The World Away, The Masterplan, Acquiesce etc.

That's not true at all. There's thousands of indie bands that say the same every week and get ignored because their music is nothing special.

Music comes first.

Bought the album today and it is fantastic! one of the best male albums from a british artist in a long time. However his attitude and personality could really affect him in the future, which is a shame.

From what I heard of him (OK Lightning Bolt and maybe one other ) he sounds like Oasis meets the Buzzcocks
Saying that Oasis did have some cracking songs as B sides...

I don't like him, he seems so up himself and i'm not keen on his music either. I heard him on the Live Lounge a few months back and he really didn't impress me. Came across quite rude.
