Is anyone bored with Emeli Sande and Adele?
They do seem a mini bit overexposed.
Just a mini bit. No comments about their talent, just the amount of times we see them. |

I wouldn't say that Adele is overexposed now. She is not whoring herself everywhere like Emeli.

Yep. Loved Emeli Sande when she first came out. Absolutely adored her, now I'm tired of seeing her at every opportunity.
I love Florence and Ellie though. |

Adele overexposed? Are you sure? Ms Sande I can definitely understand but Ms Adkins? When was the last time she sang live at an event/on TV for instance?

Yes...about a year ago.
At least the two most overexposed singers in the UK of the last few years are talented though. I'm not a fan of either's music but i'd rather them than some auto tuned dance singer. |

They're trying to be as successful as possible, if you don't like them, avoid listening to them as much as possible.

Adele was getting a bit annoying in the first half of 2011, but I don't feel she's been that overexposed since. I don't feel Emeli is either, but I've hardly ever watched TV in the past few years, so that's probably why.

I can't stand this emile sand persons music. Can't she stop yelling and write some lyrics? There's no moderation in her singing its all just a big shouty self indulgent mess.

I think it's a very different scenario with Adele than it is with Emeli. apart from radio TV etc Adele stays away for the most and for the last year hasn't performed on Tv and has only recently in terms of personal appearances appeared again. Whereas Emeli is all over TV and Radio relentlessly every award show and big event going she will no doubt be on the bill. It's as though Adele refuses and Emeli steps in.

And, bizarrely, they are both called Adele

Emeli Sande is a supremly talented singer-songwriter who deserves all the success she's been getting. You have to remember that she is just starting out with only one studio album under her belt therefore of course she is extensively promoting herself in order to establish herself and have a wide reach.

![]() And i understand that but if we are comparing Emeli to Adele when Adele was starting out she had exposure but not anywhere that of the exposure that Emeli gets as Duffy was hogging the limelight and she was kind of sidelined. |

YES! They are both extremely over-rated... I can't stand either of the them, and everytime a song of theirs comes on the radio, me and my mum always switch over!
I can't stand that Beneath Your Beautiful song.... EUGHHH |

Not so much Adele now but definitely YES with Emeli Sande I'm fed up with her turning up everywhere and having about 20 different versions of every song she has
I too switch over every time she comes on except the Beneath Your Beautiful Song love that

Emeli would turn up and sing at the opening of a new Asda. No denying her talent but she is everywhere these days.

both are great artists ..... and British .... so no kick it down mentality from me ....
if you like these artists... other great British artists who offer something similar and equally that different individuality strand but may be of interest are: Lianne La Havas Paloma Faith Kristina Train Rox Rebecca Ferguson Duffy |

Yes, I'm bored with them. Not because they're over exposed but because I find MOR rather dull.

I can't stand Emeli Sande. I think she's vastly overrated. She has a nice voice but her songs are really bland middle of the road fare. I think the Olympics performance did it for me really. Why did they have to have her performing at it? As for Adele... well I thought she was overexposed in 2011 but she seems to be fairly quiet at the moment. I'm not big fan of her either but I liked Set Fire To The Rain and the Bond song.

The Olympics was Emeli's "Duffy" moment I'm afraid. She became a joke there.

True. And Emeli has been trying for YEARS. I first heard of her in 2009, but with no face to the name.

Completely.
They are both talented but their music is played to death so I tend to avoid them as best as I can. |
