Android Dock

Since moving from an iPhone to a Galaxy Note 2, the only thing I miss is not being able to use my Sony DAB alarm clock radio dock thingy.

I'm having trouble finding something similar for any Android device let alone a Galaxy Note 2 as everything out there is 'iPod ready'.

I have however come across a Philips AS111 and Philips AS141, both which look like they do everything I want them to. Only issue is trying to find somewhere in the UK that stock them.

The obvious like Amazon and Play have them for £70 - and I am not paying that as a few months ago I found these were selling for only £35-40.

Can anyone recommend anything similar or do you know anywhere stocking these - preferably the AS111.

Thanks

I have an AS351 which is reasonably loud despite its size. We use it in the bedroom as a charger and for general occasional music (and for using the Phone alarm clock). The Philips app is pretty grim but you dont need that - just connect via Bluetooth and away you go.

If you can stretch a little further the Samsung MM-E460D blows all of the Android 'fixed speaker' docks out of the water:

We have this in our family kitchen (a big room) and it is VERY loud ! I heard it up against some of the other Samsung dual speaker docks (the odd long curved ones) and it was in a completely different class.

The only downside is that the top is a little plasticy but its a fully featured system:

-Docks for Android and Apple (dont be put off by the fact it states 'Galaxy Range' phones its a standard male charging micro USB)
-DAB
-DVD

It finally looks like Android users are getting some decent docking (or at least charging) options

I have an i-Luv speaker dock:

I only paid £20 for it and it pefroms well enough as a bedside charger. You don't need a built in radio or clock are Tune in Radio and Dock Clock will do all you need.

Thanks for the replies - the Samsung one is way over my budget unfortunately lol

I did look at the iLuv docks but I do really need a clock on it as I'll be using it as a bedside clock/alarm and sometimes might not dock the phone if the battery is already full (I have OCD where I can only charge the phone if under 10%) and preferably with radio.

I found out Lidl sold the one I wanted for £34.99 around Xmas but all the stock have gone back to the manufacturer now but expect them to sell them again in around 3 months (March-April?). Seems my best bet is to wait for these.

Thanks again.
