I'm trying to find out the name of an old PS1 game from around 1997/98? I can't remember much of it other than it being an action game and i remember vividly of a level were your in streets of a city and a big wall of fire comes towards you from all directions, which means there's no escape. Once the fire reaches you, the screen warps up a flash and your dead. Not sure why it did this.

Ha

After a certain amount of time, it was more like a tidal wave of fire coming from all streets, like infront and behind you, NO ESCAPE! Perhaps some nuclear bomb you have to find and defuse on time? I would love to be able to play this game again and get past this level 15 years on!

I feel the same way about Raiders of the Lost Ark on the Atari 2600. Never did complete the bloody thing but, then, I was only 5-6...

After looking it up the city level doesn't seem to match the one i remember, and that game came out in November 1998, this one i played in the summer of '98.

I remember it was daytime in the city, blue skies and the sun was blaring.

Was it Die Hard Trilogy when you are driving round with the bomb in the car and if it goes off there is a load of fire that explodes out of the car and you die?

The middle portion of it was, first section was a run and gun action bit and the third was a driving section.

I know, it's all a bit foggy I only played it the once though, in someone's house. The game was ahead of it's time.

Yeah, you were pretty close!

I loved the Die Hard Trilogy! I was an absolute master on the first one, not bad at the second but never did finish the 3rd one without cheating.
