Last time on Back To Basics, we went to the movies (not literally, you hear me? ) as our sensational six all took on songs from the movies. Whilst some were a box office hit, a few fell short of the booby prize. However it was a double whammy nightmare for the Overs and sadly for Kye Sones, there wasn't to be an encore as he was eliminated by the public vote leaving Jacka with one act left. Tonight, our famous five are taking on not one but two themes in the forms of Guilty Pleasures and Number 1's. Plus, with no more sing-offs, the stakes are higher than normal as the Final is not far away now!

Fighting for your votes are:

pingu58011 & The last of the Boys
Aiden Grimshaw

Kuda_Kunaka & The last of the Girls
TreyC Cohen

jackamakka & The last of the the Overs
Ruth Lorenzo

bboy1988 & The Groups
Little Mix
MK1

Good evening folks and welcome to where your Shrove Tuesday starts right here, pancake lovers.
Let's hope our panel are in a flipping good mood. Judges, confirm your presence.

Stephen isn't here tonight but I have his comments at the ready and I'm aware of Jacka heading off during the show.

So anyways, we start with Guilty Pleasures and first up is the last remaining girl.
And her milkshake is bringing the boys to the yard, it's TreyC Cohen!

TreyC Cohen

TreyC you were on a roll the last few weeks, but tonight I just wasn`t feeling it. You looked really uncomfortable on the stage and I don`t think you enjoyed the song either. The vocals were good but that wasn`t really enough because when your doing a bit of an upbeat song you have to like the song and get in the groove. I hope your second song is better!!

Treyc Cohen
Treyc! That was the definition of guilty pleasures! It was fun, and downright raunchy. However, it was not anywhere near your best vocal performance and I was a little let down by that. But you have been great so far so Iím just putting it down to the song choice and I hope you really bring it back with your second song.

Treyc

Treyc, over the last few weeks things were starting to get a little better even though the songs were obvious and predictable, but tonight the first thought that comes to my mind would be is this seriously your song choice. This has got to be one of the worst songs your mentor has chosen for you throughout the competition. For you Treyc I feel your mentor had a big chance tonight to delve into your gospel repertoire as its your guilty pleasure and could have been amazing.

Treyc my girls, that was one tasty performance! The song choice was a bit daring and risky 'cause I know I can always count on you to keep it together and you showed a sexy side up on that stage we hadn't seen before. You squirted some milkshake all over it to give it some flavour.. and anyone who dislikes that is clearly jealous on your milkshake..you could teach them, but you'll have to charge

Watch out folks, this show has how been rated 18 and over judging by the comments!

So anyways, we start with a divided panel for TreyC, but she has a second chance to change that later.

Next up are the groups and these girls just wanna have fun, it's Little Mix!

Note: Leigh-Anne will take the rap section while Jesy produces the beat for the rap

Girls that performance was great! I love that song and you really injected a lot of life into it. Leigh-Anne the rap was great and Jesy it was great to hear you beatboxing again! I hope you continue this upbeat outlook onto your next performance because, even from that, I would want to see you in the Semi, good luck girls!

Girls, your mentor chose a song used on the real show on 'guilty pleasures' week AND the cover used on the real show. Forget that, I understand you have an urban edge to you like Misha, but still, I don't think your vocals match in any way shape or form. Yes we get it, one of you can rap, but to me it seems like you're relying on that too much to be unique..almost like becoming a one trick pony. I don't think the performance was the worst, but it didn't work too well with me. Sorry girls

Girls all I can say is that song was made for you. It describes everything you girls are about. You are the most genuine girls I have ever mentored and you definitely have fun. The style of this song reminds me of when you sang Iím like a Bird. I really hope you continue on this incredible journey as after that performance you do not deserve to leave.

Girls, what a way to make me feel good. Every week I love you and this week I oved you again. Is there anything you can`t do? It was upbeat and you had fun on the stage which is what I love about this group. You can do anything and your bond between you 4 really stands out to all the other girl groups. If your other song is as good as this, you shouldn`t worry about leaving.

So almost amazing for the girls, but they have a second chance to get all the judges praising later on.

Now for the last of the boys and his life is on mars tonight, it's Aiden Grimshaw!

Aiden Grimshaw

Aiden, that was incredible. It started off tense and your dark and eery that we all know and love. Then it went a bit livlier but still stayed in your dark style. Everything about it was good, and the vocals were just amazing. I cannot wait for your second performance, and I pray you are here next week because you deserve to be.

Aiden

Aiden, I get your mentor has stuck directly to the black and white grasp of the theme but that was such a boring song choice for me. I donít really get what your mentor is trying to do with you in this competition. The style of the song was very old and I see you as a young, edgy, cool intense performer and I am not getting that from your performances. Sorry Aiden but I feel you could be in a lot of trouble.

Aiden, honestly, I hated that. It was just very bleak and lifeless. I know the theme is guilty pleasures but perhaps thatís a guilty pleasure that should have stayed concealed. I hope you have a good second song because this was utter crap.

I like how you have your own different style & I accept that. but something strikes me just now: Your recent performance have been quite dull and outdated mate, and im afraid same goes foe this one. It was mediocre a best, & I didn't like it. But looking at the running order, I can almost guarantee your 2nd performance has to be much better than this, and im looking forward to that

Ouch! Very spicy comments for Aiden, let's hope his second song does better.

Over to the groups and they're sitting on the dock of the bay, it's MK1!

Guys, thatís it! Youíve clearly got your mojo back because that was so much more like what you were like at the start of the competition before you lost it. I hope this is you back for good because I really miss your old performances. I just hope that you can continue this onto your second performance and you should have more or less secured your place in the Semis.

MK1, last week everyone was shocked you got through. I`m not sure about your performance tonight guys. It felt a bit too retro but maybe its just me? Other than that I thought it was a solid performance with nice vocals from you charlie and rapping from you simeon. It does however feel like you are taking steps back instaed of forward like jacka said last week. I hope your other song is a bit better!!

Guys, One word: Predictable! When you were put in Bboy's category I was so happy because I knew that he was so passionate about you, but I feel he's has failed you in the past couple of shows and tonight. You started out on fire on the first shows but that standard has just dropped like a hot apple pie. You did a song by 'The Mend' on Rock Night, and now you're doing a song by them again. I didn't really like it guys

MK1

Guys no matter what the other judges say that was an incredible performance. You guys are possibly the most diverse and exciting performers in this competition. You have taken so many different genres of music and put your stamp all over them. You guys have grown so much and do not deserve to leave the competition. I hope the public will vote to keep you guys in tonight.

So it's mixed comments for MK1, but can they do better with their second song?

Off to the last of the Overs and she's calling out all the single ladies, it's Ruth Lorenzo!
