Gizzi Erskine, she does a lot of spicy recipes and a lot of healthy ones too so she's perfect for me, love her styling too.

Also a big fan of Jamie Oliver, Bill Granger and Rick Stein

Why do you think that this forum members opinion is ridiculous, also you may want to read the T&C's.

Definitely Jamie, he's really likeable and his Christmas recipes are to die for.

Was quite suprised when I saw her recently - must be eating too much of her own lovely food.

Two Greedy Italians - Antonio Carluccio and Gennaro Contaldo - don't like Carluccio at all and found Contaldo very funny (as well as a good chef) when he has been on Saturday kitchen. Like the way he puts James Martin in his place.

To be fair it was a ridiculous post.

She was quite svelte and pixie-like back in the 80s, then I saw her the other day and thought OMG! A real case of, "That's not the woman I married!" Apart from having put on 10 stone, she seemed to be quite snotty.

Say what you like about Mary Berry and Delia Smith their recipes are well tested and work!

Ken Hom introduced me to Thai fusion and as a result I took the plunge and started cooking the real thing.

Love Claudia Roden's middle eastern recipes and those of Diane Henry in Crazy Water Pickled Lemons.

Valentina Harris
for Risotto

Adhul Kochhar
and Anjum Anand for Indian meat dishes and Manjula for Indian vegetarian

I have a very ancient Chinese cookery book which I inherited, written by Ken Lo and I also loved Gok Wan's tv programme.

For good old British cookery I like Nick Nairn and Simon Rimmer but also refer constantly to another book I inherited which came along with an old rellies cooker in the days when cookers came along with thick books giving recipes for every occasion, every type of dish and and every ingredient. Soups, starters, sauces, fish, meat, vegetarian, cakes, pastry, biscuits, invalid cookery, cold puddings, hot puddings, egg dishes, jam and preserves and more are all there.

Don't know who wrote it - but these good old recipes work.

I have a few. My OH, when he has time to cook, because he is so resourceful and manages to cook amazing meals out of such simple ingredients.

Celeb chefs: Gordon Ramsey, just because of all the work he's done, like the Bad Boys Bakery in the prison. Plus I like the fact he doesn't care about his language. Heston Blumenthal, just because of how clever he is with all his sciencey-type cooking. And last but not least, Michel Roux Jnr. just because I like watching him on Masterchef.

I'll also throw an honourable mention to Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, not really because of his cooking but because of all the work he's doing regarding discards and our seas. Before all that stuff I absolutely hated him, but I've grown to quite admire him now.
