that's in the used laptop or (low spec) chromebook area .... what do you plan to use it for?

15.6" are so common that it's more likely to get a good deal than a sub-13" model.

Tesco on Ebay do some good deals.

browsing/emails/catchup tv and movies. i have my movies backed up as iso so a dvd drive is not important on this device. whatever i get, though it must be capable of running vlc player

i've got a 15" as my main laptop but prefer something smaller for portability purposes

Cant go wrong with the likes of the the a HP DM1 or the Acer 725.

Lucky for you that this is out of your price range, being far too disposable for my liking, like many of the new breed.

Go to 14" and the Asus X401A is good value and under £250
