Thanks for that info. It's also working via Sky as well, good to see it back again

I'm amazed how many people even use the red button services. I've never used them, except to watch the live "interactive" streams (301 on Freeview).

Plenty of people I know don't have a PC or Laptop in the home but do have TVs, so it's good to have BBC Red Button Text / Sky Text p120.

I've got a laptop and the BBC and Sky apps on my phone, yet I prefer to read the text daily, my husband often says it's my equivalent of reading a paper, I will also check the text during advert breaks.

Dont like the Football results on 330 now

Used to be just the result and attendance

Now it is the result plus scorers and no attendance

The scorers are also available as before on the scores page

Also too many menus

Cricket news used to be on 340

Now on 340 you get a menu which says news or scores you then have to go to another screen to get news headlines

I think they need to sort out page numbers for the redesign, Navigation mess at the moment

My vision isn't the best and I struggle with the new green text.

One thing that does annoy me is checking the weather automatically loads up the news screen. Why can't I check weather without a whole bloody news screen loading up.

Can I suggest you tell the BBC this via http://www.bbc.co.uk/complaints/

The old digital Teletext had a solution for this - an option to turn quarter-screen on or off. The text unfortunately didn't wrap to fill the full screen, but it was a good compromise.

The BBC definitely need to sort out the menus and page numbers - they are a mess. All pages should have a number, and they should all be 3 digits.

Blast from the past explaining why neither had happened in 2009
After all, there wasn't any logical reason why numbers couldn't be four digits... posted in response to http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showt...ssage_32098295

Andrew Bowden is still blogging, but on other matters nowadays http://www.planetbods.org/index

You might always ask the current team for a rethink:

Will they close them all? or just leave the "POV" boards, as they give them ideas for the POV prog.

Erm, there's only Learning English and POV left after Monday 25th, and both are providing a service not on DS and other messageboards, so I would think they are safe.

Meanwhile on Red Button, the paper clip's not been reattached for Read Hear to load up on 1040 not community to load up wiht 1050, and 153 and 1675 aren't attached to Technology and Isle of Man & Channel Island News respectively.

If you're looking for Horse Racing, it has moved from 660 to 380 and Entertainment Index 500 has gone: dial 501 for Entertainment News - with 555 Lottery the only remaining service from the Once Upon The Ceefax 500s of the Nineteen Nineties.

A good point regarding the PoV messageboard - it could be seen as an integral part of the PoV programme

BBC red button only partly works now. If I click on any news page it waits a few seconds then closes down text and goes back to full screen TV. This is on Winter Hill with a dion box. Not yet tried it on the freeview TV.

It might be in the "Other sport" section now ... or at least only when there are speedway news and results to report.
