Ain't it just? Reminds me of the line in The Simpsons

American "Ya know, we saved your ass in WW2"
Briton "Yes, but we saved yours in WW3"

It was, I was just concerned that it made it into a bit of a novelty rather than the serious ceremony that it should be. I know I'm probably being overly picky.

Good I suppose.. but is it even a country? What about the rest of Turkey?

EDIT: Turkey has been legal since 1858! Well that's me surprised.
Turkey has always been pretty secular.

FFS Daily Mail!!!

Headline: "What would Walt say as The Disney Channel debuts its first ever same sex couple on the penultimate episode of Good Luck Charlie"

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz...k-Charlie.html

Seriously?!
I'm not one for putting words in the Mouestro's mouth, but I'd imagine he'd be fine with it. He'd probably say "Why haven't we done this before?"

Why do they have to create faux-outrage on behalf of someone who's opinion they do not know?

To be fair, I doubt Walt Disney would have been fine with it at all, but frankly, I don't give a shit.

I think it's great they're doing it, and it's about ****ing time.

Also, no-one here is allowed to read my twitter any more.

Well one of the company's senior imagineers is gay and Walt apparently had no issue with it back in the '50s - he was more interested that he could do his job.

And yes, its about time, just a shame its in the penultimate episode.

Also, no-one here is allowed to read my twitter any more.
Oh realllllly? Why for??

Like Mark said it's a shame it's the penultimate, hopefully they appear in the next series.

Why? because now I want to read it... what did you do?

^I wouldn't worry about that - those photobooths make everyone look pasty.

Actually I was still darker than my natural colour

But hey, my photo from 5 years ago made me look fat, pasty AND like a heroin user at the same time

^Yikes .. not a good look. Especially for that photo!

...

I'm kind of disappointed they didn't take the opportunity to write Travis Stubbs as gay in Birds of a Feather. Oh well..

^Who the group? I thought they weren't lesbian anyway..

Any you know that the SOCOG are just going for a cheap "solution" to try and placate people.

I hope they cleared it with the mayor of the town. He's said there aren't any gays in the city.

I like TATU's music but the fact they are performing there yet said they disagree with Putin kind of makes them hypocritical in my opinion.

Especially since they are/were probably very influential to the LGBT community.

I'll admit 'Just A Little' is a good song.

If you're going to have "one hit" then that's a pretty damn good one to have.

Definitely. I used to sing that with my best friend when we were kids in front of anyone that would watch us, and we did dances to it and everything. We thought we were shit hot, and destined to get a contract

We're sill waiting...
