^The second one, even better if they removed "Survivor".

###

Rant time.

Seriously fed up with people getting all high and mighty on forums pointing out "oh there's already a thread on this" or "you didn't look very far did you" .... and yet if I made a comment like that I'd have another 'minus' on my 'reputation'.

FFS.

What do you mean by the last part?

I understand what you mean. And if you rehashed a thread that's 7 years old then they would moan and ask you why you brought up a 7 year old thread.

Don't care too much about your reputation. Not a lot of regular posters on main DS are very nice people to be honest. Hopefully I don't get banned for saying that but I don't have time for many of them.

As long as you're popular with us who gives a shit

What are you trying to do?

I've got an essay myself due in for next week but I'm swriously struggling. I'm writing a 2,000 word essay on a very boring psychology experiment.

The other forum I'm on about has a reputation system. Each poster has a button under their username that says "helpful/unhelpful" and people who take umbrage with your post can simply press it and give a reason if needs be.

I had one when I posted a thread last year and some eejit replied "old news this was announced months ago" to which I simply replied "That's nice" [/Mrs Brown style] - I then got a negative with the comment "its not his fault you repeat news stories"

Exactly!

The same forum has an auto close after 30 days, so if there's a thread on a movie that had no new news for a while you have to start a new thread every time!

Its dumbassery I tells ya!

Aww thanks!

And yes, there are some right toolboxes around... usually I just ignore them, but it really got my goat when it was two comments in two consecutive threads.

At least I've got you lovely folks!

Do you still post on that forum? I wouldn't go on one like that. For some reason I'm a lot less popular online than I am in real life, isn't it usually the other way round for most people

Have you noticed a change on DS maybe in the past year? I feel like a lot of likeable users have disappeared (or been banned lol) and the nasty types have multiplied. General Discussion used to be quite light hearted and diplomatic, not like today. Or is it just me?

Makes me glad my essay days are behind me... thought I am thinking about returning to school but still kinda under-sided.

What I'm struggling with in building my own website and ebay stuff. With the website it is all new and its just frustrating (http://www.divine-pets.co.uk take a look if you get time advice welcome, still loads to do but really have no idea lol). With ebay its the bloody product description, I sit for hours with a dog collar in front of me trying to describe it (http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Divine-Pets-Pet-Service take alook if you get time and again advice would very much be appreciated).

Right better get down the post office with my orders then get back to work Happy Tuesday everyone

In a very good mood today, I got a 2:1 (67%) on an essay So relieved because I thought it was dreadful.

I feel like a newbie on this thread

Good to hear lewie! I remember a few weeks ago I did a Psychology closed paper exam and I was expecting 7/20 but I ended up with 18/20, and I thought what I wrote was utter drivel

Thank you very much! Well that's good, usually if you feel like you've mucked it up it gets a higher mark if that makes sense? 18/20 is incredible.

In the middle of watching a Western film from the 50's and up pops a good looking man - how nice

Well I'm certainly considering avoiding it for a while. Its a very clique environment too. And trouble is, its the largest of its kind, they sucked up members from competitors which led to many a site closure, but as its the biggest its sort of the 'go to'.

I think I'll just lurk instead...

And as for popularity, I feel that I'm as popular online as offline. ie. not very much.

Have you noticed a change on DS maybe in the past year? I feel like a lot of likeable users have disappeared (or been banned lol) and the nasty types have multiplied. General Discussion used to be quite light hearted and diplomatic, not like today. Or is it just me?
Well I've not noticed much of a change as I never was able to get into conversations, but I know what you mean. Social Media has been kicking old style forums in the nuts for quite sometime.

That's ok until you sit and realise that they could easily be in their eighties now.

Scotland catches up with England and Wales in allowing same-sex marriage. Just a shame for those in NI now.

My mum emphasises the fact that she will help me with my essay when I get home from college and when I do, she's gone for a nap, typical!

My lecturer for the American Film module that I study is the most gorgeous man I've ever seen. He looks like a young David Bowie and is simply perfection

I felt like I needed to see the sea so I went to Southend. There's something really calming about the sea, and I'm so angry and worked up about this Russia stuff that I needed it.

I actually want to ask you guys a question. Do you feel there is support for LGBT related issues if you needed it, would you know where to go, and would you even think they are necessary?

I've been kicking an idea around in my head for a while and I'm trying to work out of there would be a demand.

This sort of thing makes me think not enough is being done: http://www.pinknews.co.uk/2014/01/12...lated-suicide/

Hello everybody, don't know if I'm remembered but used to post here so thought I'd swing by.

I'm loading the Russian documentary from yesterday, getting ready for a bleak night I'm sure!
