Argh I'm having boy dilemmas.
I met this guy a couple of months ago, I was really drunk and started talking to him. Then a week or so later he added me on FB. (We only have one mutual friend but I'm pretty sure I mentioned this friend so he isn't weird!) We talked a little bit but the conversation quickly fizzled out, but we still like/comment eachothers posts on Facebook etc. And I saw him on a night out where I was so drunk and nervous I pretty much only said "hi", "how are you" etc. Then I saw him again earlier this week for a sports relief charity thing, again it was only a brief "hi" even though he seemed excited about me being there on Facebook. Now I just don't know how to approach him and get to know him better, I think I'm starting to really fancy him. What's more is I know he's in his final year at uni, so I don't know if he'll be staying around in Sheffield after he finishes. Sorry this is long, but I don't know how to make things go forward, without seeming too keen etc. |

Well I don't know what advice to offer, other than to suggest that you either try to start up another FB PM conversation, or next time you see him try talking about anything (like then weather or something).
Its worth a shot. Whatcha got to loose? |

Don't get too ahead of yourself, him staying in Sheffield is something to consider later, for now, why not try and arrange a date, but don't frame it like that, invite him out on a night out or something
.Your advice makes sense, he frequents a gay bar most Tuesdays. I might persuade friends to go and casually ask if he's going on FB? But even then I'm worried that'd make me look like a bit of a loser. God I'm so much better with men I'm not actually that into... |

Isn't most things C4 do a cringey cash in? We'll have to see for ourselves I guess

Yeah they have gone "a bit Channel 5" as of late. Blurb on the C4 web says: Quote:
Channel 4 offers viewers front-row seats at an extraordinary gay wedding, which the grooms are staging as a musical, from sung vows to show-stopping ensembles and a duet from their mums
Monday 10pm.Total cringe. |

Blurb on the C4 web says: Monday 10pm. Total cringe. So I had to stand up to the sexist lecturer today, I just couldn't bare to listen to her claptrap anymore. I put my point across in a polite way at the end of the class and said I wasn't so comfortable with her comments and "jokes". She said I was being over-sensitive, but to be fair it isn't just me with a gripe, half the class does, and only I spoke up. Would she be happy if I cracked a joke about women being good for 3 things? I doubt it. |

Go above her head, doesn't matter if you're oversensitive, if she's made inappropriate comments, she needs to be held responsible.

The way she talks about feminism and how men are so useless and grinding women down goes beyond what she teaches but rather what she believes. She tried making me feel as if I have a problem with learning about feminism, which I do not, but we're not covering that at the moment, so why bring it into class? I've spoken to her about it for now, and she did say she will watch what she says, (through gritted teeth, but I don't care whether she likes it or not) as long as there's no atmosphere or she starts to treat me and the other people who don't enjoy her comedy then all is fine, but if so then I'll take it to the head of dept. |

I have already quoted a few, but she keeps saying she's joking, but she's a psychology lecturer, she must be able to read people's body language and be able to tell that they don't find it funny.

Woo!
![]() Is there any difference between civil union and marriage out of interest? Do people in civil partnerships have the same legal rights as married people? |
