Actually no. I've know the manager for ages, he's a good man. Just a bit of a prat. I can't see anyone else having a problem.

I still don't wanna tell anyone. Im not sure I'll ever transition. The thought still scares me.....

Not transitioning depresses me though.
Aww sweetheart, well you know you have to be happy, if he's a prat **** him and just do what you got to do. It's hard enough having dysphoria, stopping yourself being who you are must be hell . Do you know Nightfox_dancer on here? She's usually in Eurovision threads but she may be able to give you some advice!

I can't really offer much advice Fairyprincess0, other than to offer best wishes and just to say that these things do take time.

I know its a different thing, but it took me years to accept and connect all the dots - and then once the internet came along it still took another 5 to have the cajones to post in this very thread. Its daft really when I think about it, I was genuinely nervous typing that first post.... and look at me now; ya can't shut me up!

I've still got a ways to go - I'm still in Narnia, but I'm so much closer to that door than I was in '07.

In short, if we can help we try to.

I'm 34, I was 19 when I started to put shit together. A handful of family members know. By mam is as ok with it has she can be. Though she wants me to 'take it to my grave'.

I've spent quite a bit of time 'catfishing', hence my username. I was at a low ebb a few months ago, and set up a more 'honest' user account.

Since then, I've been really starting to ask the big questions about my future. But the whole thing scares me silly.....

People are always going to be cruel, there are always going to be morons. At the end of the day you deserve to be happy and the person you really want to be, and the default in the long run transitioning WOULD make you happy.

Hate to sound cliche, but life's too short not to be who we are. In your last days I'm sure you'd want to look back knowing you've lived your life on your terms.

I know I don't even know you and your full story. And I know being transgender is a journey only other TG's would understand. But I hope I've lifted your spirits in some way.

Just be happy.

Fairy I don't think I could give you any more helpful advice than the guys already have, but I think you should follow your heart, sure it'll be daunting, but y'know what they say, this life is only once, and you should go ahead. It seems like you have two options, to pursue a happier life or or not, and I think you should go with the former.

Not that it's new information or anything but a lot of people on this forum are horrible and sad little people.

There's a thread about selfies on GD and some judgemental idiots have already decided that people who take selfies are sad, have no friends, are arrogant/vain/narcissistic and have a low IQ.

Well my response to that would be they are the sad ******* complaining about others posting harmless photos on the internet. Maybe they should take a look in the mirror, no pun intended.

Meh don't waste time worrying on them. There's plenty of eejits about here that seem to think their opinion is the only one that matters. (This coming from someone who is indifferent to 'the selfie').

I guess we'll never get a harmonious web forum, that ideal is self defeating, but it'd be nice if people could express their opinions in cleverly worded responses and not just resorting to what equates to playground name calling.

I did something reckless today. I told a woman at work I was TG. She said she knew I was something like that..... I actually feel better.

I wouldn't say it was reckless, but I can completely understand why you said it. Its a positive step forward... so congratulations!

I'm glad you feel better.

Sorry to skew the conversation in a different direction for a moment but I'm after some fashion advice.

Bowties: are they still 'in'?

hahahaha maybe. I haven't got one yet. I want a subtle one. Maybe a skinny '60s one.

This one
maybe a little too 'on the nose'.

I watch Law and Order SVU on Universal, amongst other shows, and they've been trailing Bates Motel....the two people in it, Max Theirot, and Freddie Highmore are enough to get me interested in this.

No, I AM fashion lovie, and people would do well to follow my suit

There's no such thing as all the rage in reality, dress how you like as long as it's not sandals with socks or football strip tucked into anything then you can't go wrong.

oh that's soooooo true. Both those are just horrid. Even worse when combined in one hideous fashion statement. And with those shorts that come below the knee but above the ankle. Uggghhh.

Sounds like I'm channelling Joan Rivers now...
