I never got into music really as a kid. I wanted to, but I was 8 in the late 80's. I blame 3 words. 'stock' 'akien' and 'waterman'.

I was to stupid to know there was anything else....

Nah I don't regard it as cheese. Barbie Girl by Aqua is total cheese however.
Oh yeah totally cheesetastic.

That and 'Dragostea Din Tei' by O-Zone. That's cheese and camp in one package.

Although I thought they were hot back in the day...

Robert Palmer. 'change is ways.' I think that's what it's called. I was looking through my mans old L.P. And I found it again....
Wow now that's an obscure one!

I bought it as a kid because I quite like the music video.

Between 1988, and 1998, my whole music collection was....

'change his ways' robert Palmer
'everything I do' bryan Adams
'mr. Blobby' mr blobby
'aladdin' the original soundtrack
'three lions' skinner & baddiel
'hunchback of notredame' the original soundtrack

When I first got a Walkman my Granny got me 'black or white' by michael Jackson, and 'no limit' by 2 unlimited. To this day I have no idea why, neither is my cuppa tea. (although, black or white is quite good.)

When I first got a cd walkman, she got me some cheep session versions of 'west side story' and 'cats'. Deffinatly, my cuppa tea.....

Altogether, a terrible music collection.....

It might become popular again, EE are using it in some new ads. I've just been watching the original video. Me -> I'd forgot how bizarre it was. And even camper than I remember.

Reminded me of another video that was 'influential' in my youth; Lady by Modjo.

Hi splot. I sometimes get like that. Do me a favour and give you mam/ gran, or some relative a ring in the morning.

You shouldn't go so long without human contact. The Internet doesn't count....

If it makes you feel better I don't talk to people on most days, but that's more a conscious choice.

What's up dude/dudette? don't like anyone feeling sad

Well you're more than welcome in here and have a natter.

It seems its Disco Night here at Chez DS, but we're open to all conversation. So pull up a bean bag (or chair of choice) and have fun!

Aladdin and Hunchback = Awesomeness!!!

And I found a copy of West Side Story movie OST the other day (free in the paper) - not as great as I expected.

I saw a mention of Lady by Modjo, LOVED that one too! Oh and Dancing in the Moonlight by Toploader. I could go on and on and on

Oh yeah I do, "Must be the reason that you're king of my castle, must be the reason that I'm making examples of you!"

One of my favourites is Breathe Without You by Milk Inc, great tune!

Are we all looking forward to the Eurovision Song Contest next Saturday? Lost some of it's magic for me, but still a must see!

I'm not sad, just bored out of my head...

Some dodgy music choices here! Mr Blobby? I thought I was bad for listening to 2 Unlimited.

Ah, I see 2 Unlimited has been mentioned. I used to have a 'Best of Arnold' Schwarzenegger movie soundtrack cassette tape. I challenge anyone to come up with a worse music choice than that!

Naturally I will be chinz!

I should listen to all the entrees now, because I always end up liking the songs about a month after the competition has ended
