Its just been enlightening for me. I'm ashamed of the behaviour of even my close friends in know and love. I think I'll be seeing less of them for a while.

The mood is No voters I would imagine are relieved (not happy, because who actually likes the UK government) and the Yes voters are seething

That could be true. Perhaps I've not seen ant no voters acting like tossers because I've been exposed to outspoken, vocal supporters of independence.

The only people I know that voted no were my sister and a good friend.
Wow, it does seem that everyone in Scotland has become so engaged in it. I think that would be the best for you, you really don't want to associate with people who insult other people for merely expressing an opinion.

Yeah I would agree with you, I have to be honest I'm glad that there was a No vote. There would be so much change in terms of constitution and the way of life. I do think people have underestimated just how much things would've changed. My opinion of course which may be a load of bollocks

Interesting. Seems that Scots do want independence and who can blame them with the tosser we've got as PM.

Hey everyone! Hope you are all well Well the big day arrived today, I moved into my flat! And it is AMAZING! Got my own bathroom, bedroom, living room/kitchen and even my own sofa!

It's so nice having independence again.

How old you are you Lewis?

Are you on your own or with flatmates? how are you managing to pay the rent/mortgage every week, what's your secret

Quite possibly a student loan... Oh how I miss those days Real life sucks

Sorry to hear you've had a hard time biting your tongue over the Indy vote too Jack! I know my fam have been similar. Was up there this weekend and everyone is still going on about it :/ Whilst they were no voters for obvious reasons, they're still quite shocked and disgusted at some of the vitriol and scenes occurring in Glasgow over independence It brings such bad connotations and associations to Scottish people and unfortunately, some people are willing to tar everyone with the same brush!

On a cheerier note, how's everyone been?

I'm 21, I'm getting old On my own, much prefer being on my own as I love being independent.

Yep my student loan is going towards rent. My entire loan actually But I've been pretty thrifty with money the past year as I lived at home (due to an almighty cockup with the flat I was supposed to be staying in) so I saved quite a bit of money. In the words of a Gloria Gaynor - I will survive!

Anyone watching that Cilla drama? The scene about Epstein visiting that club was a bit of an eye opener. Its easy to forget that although its far from easy these days, our folk back in the '60s were almost underground and resorting to a sort of speakeasy setup.

Makes you thankful for all the work that those who campaigned for equality over the years have done.

I watched it last night (an excellent drama by the way!) and yes I completely agree it was very eye opening. 1963 is still quite recent in terms of history so we have come a long way in 50 years.

I've been invited to a screenwriting masterclass with the writer of Cilla. It's on tomorrow afternoon and I'm really excited!

Agreed.

Actually I did critisie that scene when I watched it. For starters it felt like ITV thought "we won't bother with an Epstein biog, so lets just tack it onto the Cilla one with one throwaway scene."

And, the kissing was all totally OTT. Seemed very forced.

Now that sounds like a cool event. Have a great time.

I agree with you there. It was very forced.

I'm looking forward to it! He's also written Mrs Biggs, Philomena (the Judi Dench film) and The Widower.

And surprisingly I've not heard of any complaints so far... and yet a lizard woman kisses her wife (to save her life) in Doctor Who and 600 people complain. *rolleyes smilie*

Didn't know he did those as well. Although to be honest I've not seen any of those.

Exactly! Bloody ridiculous isn't it? Anyhoo, I am enjoying Cilla. I love anything that Sheridan Smith is in.

I know! I was surprised at just how much he's written.

^Its a shame they've condensed it down to three hours. As a drama, it'd make a good series, but as a biography then I suppose its just about right.

Did you see Sheridan's 'Who Do You Think You Are?' ?

I think the 3 episodes is just right.

I didn't, I've heard it was very good though!

Its a Modern Apprenticeship with the councilwhich lasts one year, its £7.65 and you work towards an NVQ Level 3. It could really open a lot of doors for me

I'm really excited at what could happen if I get this.

It's in the Finance and Corporate services dept I'd be working in for the year so it'll be more or less office work, which is fine by me.

I meant to say it's £7.65 per hour, which is more than enough for someone my age. I can save for a mortgage with that kind of cash AND have money to keep for my night's out and stuff

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. It also could lead to something lucrative afterwards and you'll have lots of money for lots of nights out. Good luck 😊😊
