This is the first time I've seen this LGBT thread, just thought I'd pop in and say hello
Hello Aaron

Hey hey.

I've not posted in here for a long while myself. I tend to come and go!

So I'm 20 now, and I already feel old. I know that sounds ridiculous but I feel completely past it now haha.

Anyone one at uni/ who's been to uni got any advice on how to deal with workload? I got a 2:1 in my first year but I'm absolutely terrified about the exams and deadlines I'm going to have and it's seriously getting my down.
You're NOT old, I'm 24 and still young lol.

I'm in my third year and I know how you feel. Try to note all your deadlines down and make plans of what you're going to do when and try to meet them. Helps you to break it all down into manageable chunks. Take a day at a time and make sure you have some 'you' time too If you're feeling down for long periods of time, please talk to someone, you're not alone and not the first person to feel like this <3

Well hello and welcome.

Feel free to pop back... we don't bite. Well some of 'em might.

Ahh pshaw! 20 is nowt. Yer still a whippersnapper.
Thanks for the hellos guys .

I don't mind a bit of biting .

Gosh if 20 is old then I'm almost ancient at 22. 22 is like 66 in gay years right?

And also advice for uni. The workload for final year is stressful, but you've just got to manage your time and set aside hours each day for each piece of work. I had a diary which I planned all the work that I wanted to do every week. I would set myself goals and reward myself for achieving them. I got a first so it worked for me . Just don't forget to have some you time as well.

Me too, didn't get to sleep until 3 in the morning last Thursday.

It's more to do with the amount of uni work I have to do between now and Christmas/the beginning of January. A full dissertation plan and 3000-5000 word draft, online magazine articles and a 2500 word essay, and a 'marvellous' 4500 word essay on a cultural theorist.

Geese that's a lot for me it's a different issue, and wish I wasn't in this difficult situation

You'll manage. I got to the end of uni not having a clue how I managed to get there, but just that I somehow did no matter how tough it got

It's seeing the word counts that's daunting me. But I was like that last year and managed pretty well. Hey I did a 2500 word essay in two days and got 74% which isn't too shabby

Aw I feel your pain, I have to submit a 1000 word belief statement on 7th Nov and in December I have to submit my dissertation plan and my 4000 word essay on my chosen contemporary issue affecting children today

Morning all (at 4am). Night shifts again but at least after Thursday night, apart from an overtime shift Sunday night, I have two weeks off and a few days in Brussels in the middle of it.
How is everyone? ☺☺☺
