There lies the problem, it's a vicious circle, I either stay in a job I despise and whilst doing it I am unhappy but also means I have a disposable income for a social life etc or I pack it in and therefore I'm no longer in that toxic environment which sapped the life out of me too.
I have looked for other jobs, and I handed some CV's about today, so hopefully something comes of that. Either way, good luck in the job hunt and hopefully you'll have some good news ASAP! Quote:
Good evening folks

Awh sorry to hear things aren't great atm in work Jack. Hopefully they'll become a little more bearable for you in the not too distant future! One piece of advice I'd give though, if you can manage it, stick out your current job whilst applying for others instead of quitting. It's far easier to go from one job to another than it is to gain employment whilst you're unemployed.

Something's got to give eventually, I just need to suck it up and get on with it until it does. I do enjoy squandering my paycheck!
You should rant more, it's cathartic. PM me for a rant if you like now and then and we can both moan together, I love a good moan ![]() Don't spoil it for me, I haven't seen any of it yet. Luckily I've saved a fair bit so I still have money for spends ![]() Oh I love a good moan too. Thanks I'll bear that in mind, I'm not in a "moany" mood yet. No doubt I will be later on ![]() I won't but I do know who's been voted out and I'm not happy with the result. Not saying who it is, you'll find out later. |

I have to say today at work was better, it was absolutely jumping but I worked with a colleague in the area people only go when the rest of the restaurant is full, and we didn't get bombarded like we usually do. Plus footballers were in and practically the whole team were a gift to my eyes ![]() Quote:

Yep definitely, I'd rather stay in the job and have my social life, I was more down when I didn't have any income. And welcome back Geeky, where you been all this time? ![]() Quote:

OK, I know I'm going to sound like a total bitch on this one, but I've just seen a guy (in a trip report thread) wearing cargo shorts, black socks and red Crocs.
*shudder* That should not be allowed. Ever. |

![]() Feeling really stressed tonight, to the point where I want to break down. Firstly, uni work is getting me down. Work is piling up on top of each other and I've got so many deadlines to meet in the next week or so. And second I feel so ignored and unwanted from people. I just love being taken for granted and walked all over. May as well throw a doormat over me. Not saying who's out of Strictly, you can find out for yourself soon. Quote:

I completely agree, that should never be allowed. Just no. ![]() Don't focus on people who treat you like that. You know what they say, sometimes you only need one hand to count you true friends in life. |

Have you asked your lecturers for help? I know they aren't like teachers but they are there to teach, utilize all the the help you can. I'm not going to offer my assistance because it's probably beyond anything I'm capable of helping with
![]() Don't focus on people who treat you like that. You know what they say, sometimes you only need one hand to count you true friends in life. ![]() Ugh, I know. I'm an absolute fool and you are so right. I just want things to go right for me for once. The past two years have been awful for my mental state. I probably sound so dramatic when there are people out there with bigger and more serious things to deal with. Quote:
You would have thought his bf would have said "you ain't leaving the house looking like that!"

I do ask them for help occasionally but they seem so unapproachable. At my uni we have a student radio station and a lot of the lecturers prioritise the production students first compared to us theory students. Haha I wouldn't want to bore you with my work tbh

Hahaha I definitely would've said something if he was my bf. Like I said, don't waste your time expecting "friends" who don't have time nor appreciate you get you down, just focus on those who do and a happier life you'll live, trust me ![]() I know who's going now btw I'm sad for you

It ain't easy, but if you get annoyed at work, use that annoyance and stuff as your driving force to gaining other employment. It's surprising how much you can get done when you get motivated like that! I've been getting myself around lol! Been so manic lately between work and then away seeing mates, fam etc at weekends that this is the first weekend in the past month and half that I've been at home Typical too that I've no plans when the rents are away on holiday ![]() On the plus side, I'm finally recovered from Friday's antics

Feeling a lot better this morning, prioritising my essay before doing my dissertation work. My tutor was very helpful. Stress averted
