Has anyone seen this? It's the policeman on one guy at Gay Pride. I can't remember if I seen it here or not...

But it's awful! You just know nothing will happen from it though, once again.

It's a shame how unsurprising this is. Australia is way behind with it's social attitudes.

How are we all tonight?

^I'm good, you?

And yes Australia does seem to be a bit behind. Saw a news story (well just the headline) only today that they've banned James Franco's film over there as it has gay sex scenes. Now I don't know anything about it, maybe it does warrant censure, but if its just harmless Brokeback Mt. stuff then they really need to ease up on things.

Good thanks. Settling down to the football.

That wouldn't surprise me. Didn't the Aussies get all uppity when there was a gay storyline in H&A? They're fighting a tough battle over there. We're very lucky to live in such a liberal, accepting country. I'm very thankful for that.

^Not sure about H&A but they do have one on Neighbours. I wouldn't be surprised if they did have complaints. Sad really.

Now you can see why Matt Mitcham had such problems with sponsors etc.

I believe they got so many complaints they got rid of the character. I'm not sure though, it might just have been a natural end for the character.

Yeah Mitcham did have a tough time with it. Unfortunately I expect the sponsorship side of things probably increases many sportmen's reluctance to come out.

Pretty crap if they ditched that character due to complaints. I don't know why but I expected Oz to be more liberal.

Yeah me too. The Aussies have this aura of being chilled and easygoing but I guess that just doesn't translate when it comes to the gay issue over there.
