Is Tinder the meet up one or the sex one? Or are they both sex ones?

Why don't you shag him?

Lol, tinder is the one where you click through pictures and it gives you your matches. I can't talk to him on there unless he also likes me. That being said I could just tweet him lol.

Does it make me a snob that I would hate the idea to be involved with anyone on that site or worse be discussed (good or bad) on that site?

^No, I don't think so. I don't really like the idea of those sort of sites.. its a bit vacuous, but hey horses for courses, not everyone likes the same thing.

Are you talking about facebook or grinder?

I've never been on grinder but what I have read on facebook does not make me want to be apart of such a site. Guys with gf meeting up with gay guys, guys cheating on their bf (not always with sex some just send pictures). Sounds like such an awful site and someone looking for a serious relationship and to stay STD free should stay away.

I have heared some celebs use the site thought, my friend showed me callum blue's pictures

I don't have a problem with Grindr and the like. They are what they are, no pretence, no messing about etc. I'd use them if they weren't so looks-centric I know people think it's sleazy but I don't see it as any different from going to a club/bar with the intention of pulling (which lots of people do too). Some people just want sex.

I don't think it would be a good place to look for a partner though. If you're searching for a boyfriend I'd try other avenues. Just the nature of the app doesn't spell "long-term, committed, dependable etc", and even though you know a new partner will have a sexual history, meeting them through a hook-up app brings the subject to the forefront in a way. If they'll jump into bed with you so quick, who knows how many others there are (but then if you're on Grindr too it's a bit pots-and-kettles).

Doesn't make you a snob if you wouldn't date someone who uses/has used it, though. We all have different standards, moral codes etc, and if you feel that way about it a relationship wouldn't work anyway, as you wouldn't be compatible on certain things.

No, no. I don't have a problem with it but I wouldn't want to go out with someone who does. Just personally that idea of potentially having every detail about my relationship all over grindr is a turn off.

But while typing this it just occurred to me that people do this all time on FB/****ter with their updates all the time

I'd like to think even Grindr users are capable of discretion. I don't think it's required to share the deets. Though as you pointed out, your average everyday Facebook/Twitter user can be just as indiscreet about personal, even sexual matters.

I wouldn't like that kind of thing shared about me (unless it was a really good review )

I use hornet, grindr and tinder, it's a good way to meet guys. To be fair, I've seen most of them around Soho anyway, probably drunkenly danced with a few of them too. You don't have to go around shagging everyone on there, I certainly don't.

I've toyed with the idea of using one of those mainstream dating sites (Match/eHarmony), but the thought that the majority are only after one thing puts me off.

I'd avoid the mainstream sites, they don't really cater for LGBT that well..

Are there any "traditional"-type dating sites for LGBT? Or is it all Grindr/Tinder etc.

Someone somewhere must've created one by now, a more relationship-focused gay dating site.

I tried match and it's like, I thought they were awful. At least with something like Hornet I know where I stand..

Not really, although I probably didn't stay long enough on the site to see.

Grindr is the pits. I had it for one day and the people were just so trashy and disgusting, not even making conversation just asking for sex and sending nude pictures.

Granted, some guys who talked to me did look pretty hot. But the idea of the app just put me off and some of their pics were heavily filtered so it was hard to trust them.

I just pull when I'm out, I don't need that shit!

To be fair, if you're not playing safe you could get it from anywhere. You could get something going bare with the nice guy you pulled at the club/bar.
