Thought for a moment in Sundays Ep she was going to switch side, it would make sense and upset Hogan greatly heh.

So whats the difference between a normal PPV and last nights Xdivision show other than one is live and the other recorded, looked remarkably similar to me.

Surely the best thing is to keep Styles as a wildcard for a while, He really doesn't need to align himself with anyone. It can be argued that because he's so annoyed with TNA, and James Storm right now that he could easily join A&8's but then he could just get lost in the shuffle.

Just look at someone like Anderson for example. At one point he was one of TNA's main eventers and had a huge amount of charisma and support, now he's just one of the guys in the faction, He doesn't really stand out.

That promo he cut in the clubhouse a couple of weeks ago before facing Jeff Hardy was brilliant, but irs rare to see anything like that regularly from Anderson.

And if he joins TNA, does that mean he becomes a face again, and goes back to the character of last year before he walked out on the company?

I suppose what I'm saying is that on Impact, AJ should walk out again, not make a decision, and continue to be an outsider. There seems to be a lot more potential with the storyline if they went this direction and Styles deserves a good storyline within TNA.”

but it mad eperfect sense for anderson to join a&8 imo and has given him a coolness factor still. if they ever push him as a rival leade rto bubba one day he could become a huge face

he could be the nash to bubbas hogan

Just a heads up for anyone with Sky

Challenge is being moved down the EPG to 145 from the 30th April.

Obviously favourites/recordings won't be affected

Decent episode of Impact.

Nice to see AJ is still his own person, and has sided with no one yet. TNA can keep this storyline going for a while yet. Does he even need to pick a side anyway? Matt Morgan seems to have no allegiance so why should AJ. Nice to see him pick up the win against Storm also.

I mentioned previously that after Anderson joined A&8's it wasn't good for his character development and progression. In the last few episodes he's really taken a step up and become one of their top guys and has been allowed to show off his promo skills again. It's good to see Anderson back doing what he does best especially with the promo on this episode.

Other notes.

Good X-Division match. Not sure about the new camera angle though. Could be interesting.

Very funny promo between Bad Influence and Aries and Roode. All these guys have great mic skills.

Overall a decent show and should be interesting to see the progression on further episodes of Impact Wrestling.

Was a really strong episode this week, good crowd, interesting segments and good in ring action, really enjoyed it.

Rob Terry is such a beast! He needs to fight some proper matches, instead of fighting the same few morons each week. They should mask him up and make him a mysterious character, like Kane or Abyss were, as he clearly has no mic skills. He'd be an awesome tag team with another brute like Matt Morgan. I wonder if Morgan will join aces and 8's though.

Morgan's previous character was always just ordinary despite his size. The new bearded menace Morgan actually comes across as dangerous and much more interesting. There is scope now for him to play a significant part in some main storylines. I think it would be a shame for him to join Aces and Eights as the group are already dominant enough not to need him and he would become somewhat swallowed up by the group.

I like him as this loose cannon man-mountain, on his own or sometimes working with the likes of Joey Ryan. The "proposal" to Hogan and Hulk's reaction now sets things up for Morgan to become even more menacing in his own way as a threat in addition to Aces and Eights and I look forward to that.

I love Impact on the road each week, much better than taping all the shows at the same venue.

That's one area where TNA are vastly superior to WWE.

I don't mind the Aces and Eights angle, but I hope they're not building to Bully Ray vs Hogan match. It's 2013 and Sting and Hogan are classed as the main baby faces at the minute. It's nuts. Especially when they had a chance with someone like James Storm and they decided against it.

The thing is Hogan and Sting still draw relatively well.

Watching Impact is like watching Nitro from 1997 at the minute with all the stories and characters,
A&8 = nWo
A.J Styles = Sting
Matt Morgan = Brian Pillman (O.K that was early 96 as a loose cannon)
Even Sting used the black out and the baseball bat point this week like he did in 1997.
Noticed Bad Influence were trying to get a foursome together to take on A&8's, sounds a bit 4 horsemen like.

I'm not complaining because WCW was awesome back in 1997, TNA is very watchable this year, it holds my attention a lot longer then Raw does.

Hogan and Sting don't draw now. Not in 2013. It's understandable that Bischoff and co go back to the nwo storyline over and over again, as it's the most successful angle bischoff ever did. However he needs to put the younger guys in the main roles.

Correction: it's the ONLY successful storyline Bischoff did. And he copied that from Japan. I enjoy TNA now (WAY more than when Russo was in charge, at least now you see a direction and you don't see 543 things happening in each segment) but yeah, it's the same people on top every time. AJ Styles has been billed as the future of the business in 2002, when is he finally gonna be made as the face of the company instead of sharing the spotlight with every former WWE guy they hire?

Thats a bit unfair, the nWo as a group had a lot of storylines over the years, nWo wasn't just one storyline that went on for ever.

It lasted in various incarnations from 1996 to 2000. That storyline should have ended at Starrcade 1997, then it became pretty nonsensical with the "bad" nWo and the "good" (Wolfpac) nWo, reuniting in January 1999 after the infamous "Fingerpoke of doom" after they killed Goldberg by ending the streak. Bischoff's problem is that he doesn't know when a storyline should end and it drags them on and on and on.

We are talking about Bischoff though, the finger poke of doom (which was a really good angle btw) was Nash's booking and the 2000 nWo was Russo's booking. Bischoff's version of nWo (1996, 1997 and 1998) was very good imo, o.k it was pretty tired in 98 but it was still good.

I've read loads about nWo should of ended after Starrcade 97, but lets be honest, how would that work? Just forget about the biggest faction and the best draw wrestling had? The nWo were over big time, people went to watch them, O.K Goldberg was coming up but he wasn't really drawing till March 98.

The 2 hour format helps a lot, as does the lack of constant recaps, social media mentions and stop start booking.

Has anyone noticed, how AJ Styles has a new submission manoeuvre targeting the Calf specifically, I wonder if this was, so he can use it on Bully Ray soon, as Bully Ray's old shtick was his Calves and his whole "Calfzilla" thing, and AJ's finisher is called the "Calfkilla" according to Tenay last impact..
I definitely believe AJ is walking out of BFG world champion, I'd be shocked otherwise.

That is a very good point, brilliant in fact, I noticed the submission move (which looks ace by the way) but it never dawned on me that it's the one think Bully Ray used to always go on about, kudos to A.J or whoever thought of that.

Hey guys, I found this old message board from 1999, it has posts on from that era and is quite interesting reading, expecially about WCW at the time.
