Not a bad Impact by any means, but nothing special either.
I know they are trying to save money, but had someone forgotten to pay the electric bill? The ring wasn't too badly lit, but any time the action moved to the ringside area, or onto the entrance ramp, then the gloom was so bad you could barely make out who was doing what to whom.
And some of the editing was appalling, along with some really hamfisted camera work. What was all that about?
Roode / Lashley was good, but would have been far better without all the interference, and Aries, as always, seems incapable of turning in a bad match - he's so watchable isn't he? But please give EC3 something better to do. He's a cracking wrestler, and one of the best characters TNA has, but beating on JB seems pointless and a waste of his talents.
But otherwise there was way too much aimless fighting, seemingly included just to give the whole roster something to do.
And what's with basically turning the vast majority of the locker room bad? Seemed totally random, though I expect we'll get some sort of half-cocked explanation one day.
Ho hum.
I'll still keep watching, but there was definitely something lacking last night.
