Friday's episode of TNA Impact Wrestling on Destination America drew 517,000 viewers.

This is up from 387,000 viewers for the January 16th episode, which was the first Impact broadcast on Friday nights.

Of course it could be a blip. An extra 100,000+ viewers watching fake fighting for two hours. Absolutely an accident. We all do it! Oh god what time is it!!!!!!!!!!! WAAAAAH. It's been 2 hours already!

The decline in Challenge viewers is disappointing, especially on the eve of the UK tour.

Weirdly, viewership in the US is doing incredibly well. 517k this week. That's an increase of 130k(!) over the previous week. Could be a blip, of course.
Not shocking UK viewers are down as it sucks at the moment I only watch it because it's free to air.

I was watching yesterday thinking it must be over and only 45 mins had passed.

They already lost viewers on week 2 of the DA shows.
Actually, where are you getting your DA figures from? The numbers I've seen show a big increase week to week!

January 7, 2015 (Wednesday): 359,000 viewers
January 16, 2015: 387,000 viewers
January 23, 2015: 517,000 viewers

Also out of curiosity could I ask where you're getting Challenge viewers? I'm sure they're accurate but I haven't been able to find Challenge viewership numbers anywhere.

I hope you're right and it's not a blip

I wonder if DA do hourly or even segment numbers. Would be cool to see who's the biggest draw and if they lose or gain over the show.

Thanks! That's great

So the debut DA Impact on Challenge got 140k ( up from not even making the top ten for the last recap show). The second was down 20k. It's a long way from the 300k heyday of TNA on Challenge isn't it?

When I said "they already lost audience on Week 2 of the DA shows" I was referring to Challenge's ratings, apologies if I wasn't clear.
An interesting tidbit: last week's most watched wrestling show was actually TOTAL DIVAS, who did 227.000 on E!. WWE's most watched show was, as always, the live Raw showing on Sky Sports and it did 91.000

No worries. Total Divas has been a huge success hasn't it? In fact, I'm beginning to suspect my partner secretly watches it.

Glasgow is getting 2 TV tapings. I really thought they would have done some kind of buy one get one free type of deal with the tickets.

You're surprised they didn't give half of their tickets away for free?

Although to be fair I suppose there's legitimate reasons to be surprised about that...

Imagine finding out your going to a TNA event.

Then imagine you find out your going to two.

On the plus side nobody would ever be able to tell you were there

Although I wonder if they'll find the light switch for the UK tapings when they'll presumably have more than 6 people in attendance.

So TNA is going home. Tapings announced for Orlando Studios in February, March and April.

They have five days of tapings in February (12th-16th) where they will film eight One Night Only PPVs and Xplosion matches.

Then four days in March (13th-16th) and three in April (23rd-25th)

Well, being a fan of professional wrestling I'm very much looking forward to my trip to Manchester on Friday despite y'all negativity.

Last year was great. I expect there'll be a lot fewer in attendance this year with the TV hiatus. It's almost a shame the UK shows aren't a little later in the year. It would give them a chance to gain some momentum with the DA shows, and be less likely to be snowed off! At present the weather forecast is making it look kinda 50-50 if I'll be able to make it across the Pennines

Thanks for the update.

Blerg. I don't like the Impact zone. Plus, will they ever get to stop making these pointless ONO PPVs?

Probably when the international contracts for PPVs run out. They are so ridiculous, I get why they have to do them but what use is a PPV filmed in February in October?

Yeah I know, how humiliating. Unlike pretty much all of you in the WWE thread admitting yous all never attend house shows or TV tapings lol. THey're here about 10 days twice a year and you can't manage one? One out of 20 days? lol.

Gotta say I'm with you, looking forward to Wembley on Saturday. has been a great night out every year for the past 4 years. All very well for the keyboard crusaders to trash the product but I think its much more fun seeing it live!

On a separate note I wont be sad to see Velvel go, never rated her in ring skills and plastic surgeon convinced her to go for the most bizzare shape implants I was more disappointed when Daffney was booted out

Gotta agree there. Velvet was marketed brilliantly, but both in the looks department and in the ring I didn't rate her as a top prospect. Taryn Terrell, on the other hand

As I said previously I really enjoyed the TNA house show I went to a few years ago. I'm not sure I'd want to go to a TNA television taping right now though. Of course I'd also struggle to work up the enthusiasm for a WWE television taping at this point.

I presume they will keep making them as long as international TV commitments require them to do so.
