Of course, it may not be true...

Listening to this podcast and it don't sound good. She called the company "dummies" which isnt even a good insult .

But something else they said, TNA havent had a paying fan since January in the UK. When you put it like that, my god it's awful. They until recently had a taping scheduled for AFTER the episode was supposed to air and they are now filming all of their post Slammiversary programming BEFORE Slammiversary. Like seriously?

I hope he finds out. Somebody is gonna have to buy it if it has gone tits up

Billy Corgan has responded also:

"It wouldn't be so bad if the whole truth was being reported and the person reporting wasn't being worked himself by a sloppy angle... AND let's remember that I speak from experience, having had things written about me by Meltzer that he never got a statement from me about"

So what is the whole truth? That to me says there is SOME truth to these rumours about being cancelled, just not the entire truth is out there.

I think his answer would be.

Cancel?

Test is dead
Trish is retired
And Albert is a trainer.

I can imagine Vince saying that, he is getting on in years.

He can only remember what his own company is called cos he writes it on his hand.

I still can't believe the dummy story, but if there is any truth in it, it is a complete facepalm moment for TNA and for every other wrestling fan.

JCR, Vince Russo said Spike executives would sit in on creative meetings and would tell him and Dixie and everyone else that the show needs more wrestling and Russo used to show the Spike execs the ratings breakdown..........which being they are from Spike they should have already seen and known and Russo would show them how all the gimmick matches and promos outdrew wrestling matches and they never gave him an answer as to why they wanted more wrestling on the show when the ratings showed more people were watching the inring promos and angles and any match that had a "gimmick". Why would you fill the 2 hours with traditional wrestling matches when their ratings showed people tuned out when they were on?

I can see Destination America being the same thing. People in those offices that know nothing about wrestling trying to stick their nose in and dictate what should and shouldnt be on TV when they know nothing about wrestling. Just like Russo told Dixie not to put the belt on Eric Young because it wasn't believable and he is just a Daniel Bryan clone, Dixie just does what she is told and what others tell her is right.

Russo did laugh off the the job he had being a consultant but he mocked the fact that he was getting paid $3000 a month to send a few emails from home and only made $36,000 from them before he left. I wish i had a job where I only had to send a few emails from home every week and get paid 3,000 a month for it. Easy work. I'd love to have known what his salary was over the 10 years he was there and they had to fly him in every week to be there in person. Good money for writing wrestling.

Seems a childish sulk from someone in TNA. Oh no the internet is talking about TNA because of some supposed leak. Lets sue them!

Maybe you could add TNA to your business portfolio Hollie. Dixie would literally sell it for a ham and cheese sandwich at this point.

I think I could probably trust you to be slightly less incompetent than her.

If Frank Spencer bought it and made Mr Bean and Mr Brittas joint vice CEO they would be less incompetent than Dixie

Oh I wouldn't be too sure. Just the other day I sent an e-mail calling my customer a fcking **** and you'll never guess what, I only bloody copied him into it like a frigging moron. I'm sure nobody at TNA would do anything remotely like that..........

On second thoughts, somebody could buy it and just hold off on Vince buying it from them. Shall we all chip in?

Seems easy. We all throw in a tenner and then charge Vince about £50k. Split the profits.

I think we've just worked out how to outwit business genius Dixie Carter. Well done!

When I heard Vince Russo talk about Billy Corgan last week I kind of fell in love with the guy even though i didn't know much about him. Just hearing Vince talk about the fact Corgan spent time with his kids in his hotel room, stayed on his tour bus with Russo and Russo has kept in touch with him all these years tells me he is a decent guy.

And after tonight hearing Russo on Youtube, I'm not even halfway into the 2 hour video where he discusses the dirthsheet gossip but he again says if Billy Corgan who is a smart businessman has got involved and basically called Meltzer out then there is a lot of half truths because he isn't from the wrestling business. He is a money man and a smart man and for him to say that tells Russo that Meltzer is again reporting half truths rather than just spitting out the whole truth and saying the name of his sources.

I also agree with Russo that Wednesday night is a much better night for wrestling. It worked in the past. Fans watch NXT that night, they watch Lucha Underground, they are in a mindset for wrestling. Could it be that Destination America and Discovery have moved TNA to a better night and told them to get a certain amount of viewers before they "evaluate" the contract in September? Absolutely. Is that the same as the story and rumours doing the rounds just now? Absolutely not.

I agree with Russo 100%. The fact that Billy Corgan, who isn't even from the wrestling business but it is a smart businessman has got involved publicly to call Meltzer out right away puts it to bed. Meltzer is again trying to sell dirt, like all dirtsheets do. No doubt in my mind TNA haven't been cancelled and the move to Wednesday's can only help them, not hurt them.

And yet Destination America, Dixie Carter, Billy Corgan and Bob Ryder have all decided to not make a statement refuting Meltzer's claims.

If Destination America have not cancelled TNA, why has every single party that can say that not made that statement?

Shouldnt TNA be grateful that people are actually talking about them? They will never be the big time league, and so what if Meltzer did put this in his newsletter it might give other tv stations interest in snapping up the product.

The only "good" that can come up from that situation is that, by saying that they're effectively canceled, DA would kill any power TNA would have negotiating with other networks, which coincidentally is the same exact thing Spike did for them last year.

But that's not what I'm saying. I'm saying if they haven't been cancelled, they need to release a statement to that effect. Silence is as good as a confirmation.

Yes, that's true as well. But Spike never said they weren't cancelled either.

And what happened they? They got cancelled so any TNA fan with a memory will look back to last year and realise the exact same thing is happening this year. That's why its in everybody's benefit to release the statement.

Apparently they aren't even addressing the rumours to the roster until the next tapings in June. It's an awful way to treat your staff if true

I agree with you 100% on the pattern thing, but that is not the game being played here. Fans are the last thing they should think about right now. They have to find a new network and DA coming out and saying they're canceled would make that a lot harder as far as bargaining weight is concerned. Them coming out and saying they're NOT canceled could help them, but at the same time interested networks could go: "wait a minute, you're not canceled but still you're here talking with us about interest? What's going on?", so it's probably a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation, and it's just the beginning. Maybe DA changes their mind (and if it's true that Dixie accidentally sent an e-mail to the president of DA calling the network's suits "dummies" I don't think that's gonna happen anytime soon) or TNA is, once again, in deep trouble. We'll just have to wait and see.
