And Billy says many things I have said. Wrestling is behind the times. Shows like Breaking Bad and Boardwalk Empire show sofisticated characters. TV viewers are not stupid. They want to be challenged. They want to be challenged. They want stories they can sink their teeth into.
Yeah I'd wager most of them know how to spell sophisticated.

Also just as an FYI I know it might be cool to drop shows like Breaking Bad and Boardwalk Empire into conversation but something you should consider when making this argument about what audiences want (particular mass/casual audiences) - Breaking Bad didn't become a commercial success until the end of its run and Boardwalk Empire never became a commercial success. What audiences have actually watched in large number are shows like Empire, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Scandal and The Blacklist. Personally I would struggle to use the word sophisticated to describe any of those but maybe that's just me.

What they should also do is thrown in a King Alex Salmond 1st reference and next time one of the heel women try and get mouthy have the babyface man say 'behave yourself woman!'. Little references like that make a difference too.

Or what about because all the young women love the Kardashians, what about a character, a male one that starts acting like a woman. No no no. A woman..........starts acting like a man and she ends up calling herself Bruce and they can show skits with her at the doctors office and ready to get her surgery to get her a penis and it can be a little nod to Bruce Jenner/Caitlyn Jenner.

It's those kinds of things that bring in the casual TV viewer. That is entertaining.

There's a WCW ppv from 95 where Giant/Big Show is dropped off the roof of the arena then turns up fine 20 minutes later. Maybes they wanted to do a homage to that, after a fashion.

Nothing you just said is entertaining. Nothing.

It also continues to highlight the staggering irony of you complaining that everyone in wrestling is out of touch while you yourself are infinitely more out of touch than all of them combined.

I don't even mind the content, I mean I think it's stupid but I'm willing to leave that to personal taste, but the acting! It's trainwreck stuff.

The main problem with it in my 'umble opinion is it's a direct copy of a scene from the USA House of Cards.

I dunno what Corgan is thinking, but I doubt ripping off high profile shows will get them anywhere.

have not seen any change in tna yet, will give billy corgan a chance though.

needs to be head writer though, not just part of a team or nothing gets through.

creative should be 1-3 people max imo

what days is TNA on is USA now? thursdays? whats this wednesday thingy with roh then?

A good idea in principal. Hopefully the ratings pick up from its debut and I'm sure they will.

I've seen that somewhere else too (about House Of Cards).

The TNA statement about it made me chuckle too.

I don't think it was 1.4m on a regular basis. If it wasn't getting 1.1m on its original day as you said and then got 1.4m on a Monday, why would they have moved it back? It was getting worse ratings on Monday vs Thursday.

As for the spoiler I wouldn't consider it huge news personally. ****ing stupid but not huge IMO.

1.4 first tshow then tailed off, might even have been 1.5

imo hsowed the fanbase willing to watch alternative, they shud have been stronger as their product was superior to wwe back then

btw thats a HUGE friggen storyline, killing off a character???????

As mentioned, it is unfortunately a bit too similar to this https://youtu.be/aSVX0m7KtZw?t=7m15s for it's own good.

If they're just doing bits off tv shows I hope they ape the "**** the king" scene from game of thrones next.

I think that they should do The Contest from Seinfeld. Or the Chinese Restraunt.

How about a storyline where Kurt Angle's career is rejuvenated when he gets wig? Then guest star Julia Louis-Dreyfus shows up, tears it off his head and throws it out a window.

I think I could do a decent job by just booking Seinfeld episodes on a wrestling show.
