Are you jumping from high wires after securing a XDivision title belt though, after leaping of the side of a wrestling ring not to mention off the top rope. Because that sort of thing would risk anyone's knee let alone someone who previously had 2 bad ones
No, but I play football which is one of the most common ways a ACL is injured BUT my point is that his knees should be stronger now, I'd say he has less risk of doing his ACL again, unless he's unlucky.

Saw Slammiversary last night - for anyone watching on Wednesday, you are in for a treat. Brilliant PPV, best one TNA has had in at least a year I'd say.
Tried to watch it on Challenge but sound and picture were out of sink so bad it was awful, was it like that for any one else?

Agreed. The new them really suits his character.

Get Ready to Fly is a classic theme though.

This episode of Impact got 0.91, seems like a good show thus far with a hot crowd.

I have it slightly under 1 (0.986 to be precise), but it may depend in the approximation of the ratings (i have some ratings rounded to the decimal and that may make the difference). It should be noted though that many times the Impact rating went under 1.0 this year, I'd say way more than in recent years.

Poor Todd the announcer, not missed by anyone, not even mentioned. Have to say though the announcers were much better without him, far less awkward silences.

And so BFG madness has begun, 38 Bound for glory mentions in this episode, by the Impact before BFG it will be up to over 90 or one every 90 seconds.

Caught Slammiversary over the weekend. It was the best TNA PPV since Destination X 2012. There wasn't a bad match in there. I'd been dreading Sting (weaker, no cardio fitness) vs. Bully Ray but the guys worked out enough story business to pull it off. Prior to that had been some excellent matches: X Division, 8 4-team Tag and, yes, the best female match I have seen in years. If Kim had bladed herself after spearing the chair, the crowd would have gone even more crazy. The girls must have loved their two "Holy S**ts" and their "This is awesome" because Knockouts usually come on to wolf whistles and then mostly silence. I said before that I think Taryn might be shaking things up and this match was the proof. She and Kim have raised the bar for all the others. A classic match regardless of gender. The message is simple: if you don't have the physical strength concentrate on speed, performance and kinetics.

I also liked the fine detail in the writing; e.g. the company clearly values Suicide because they added the special plot point of the threat of having his mask removed, to enable Sabin to win without harming Suicide's character. The new guy playing Suicide is awesome. I can't believe how much energy he has, how much he uses almost mime to show his character. I also don't see how he can maintain his current level of inventiveness. It's been an awesome "return".

Not sad to see Todd go. I never quite understood why he was there. His comments and vocal range are similar to Mike's who, to me, is the voice of TNA. I do occasionally pine for the contrast of Don "Are You Kidding Me!?" West.

Just checked Wiki (not always the most reliable source!) and they say it's a guy named T.J. Perkins. I don't know him.

Right here goes

Not including a 1.0 rating on all below stats.

This year tna has had 8 shows 0.99 and below
This time last year there were only 6 shows.
This time 3 years ago there were 0 shows, lowest was 1.01.
This time 4 years ago there were 13 shows under 1.0

Totals under 1.0

2013 - 8
2012 - 23
2011 - 1
2010 - 18

Simple really. They need the same level of brand recognition that the WWE have and they'll only get that with the level of financial backing that the WWE have.

The WWE are a global brand and are synonymous with "wrestling" in many people's minds. TNA don't, and won't, have that until they can get some serious capital behind them to make some aggressive moves.

I am loving Mickie as a heel, she is soooooo much better like this than as a face.

It harps back to her best times when she was mimicking Trish, they need to keep her like this for a while, as it suits her perfectly.

Tna should be going to universites and doing the whole spring break thing like wcw use too.

Tna are what tv14 so should be aiming for those mature crowds, but again all comes down to money.

When you say "3 years ago" you mean actually 2 i guess, you skipped one year
2010 was terrible, but to be fair it was heavily influenced by their terrible decision to go head to head with Raw, which got them absolutely destroyed.

They have money behind them, Panda Energy is a very healthy conglomerate. However what really comes down to in my opinion is that it's basically Dixie's toy. Dixie convinced her parents to buy TNA and, as long as the company doesn't bleed money (like losing 50 millions per year) it's fine for them. They really should be careful about not losing Spike, if they lose Spike they're dead. As far as "what can they do" I don't really know, but I feel that if they try to do the same stuff WWE does they'll never get past a certain point (and, let's face it, since Hogan and his cronies arrived the product has drastically changed and lost every element that set it apart from WWE). But the product has been ok lately, if not more than ok in parts.

Create new stars. Stop building the show around Hogan and co and start bringing in the best guys from smaller promotions and the indies, who haven't been seen by the mainstream fan. This also requires some of these new guys to be built up into main event guys andnot shoved in the tag team division.

Actually considering how little the old WWE and WCW stars have on ratings, a lot of them should be moved on. I genuinely believe you could remove a number of them which would save money and it would have no effect on ratings or house show attendance, which is already small as it is.

If TNA was run properly, guys like Cesaro, Bryan, Ambrose etc. should have been signed up by TNA and they could have had a core group of guys that could be classed as TNA stars and not WWE/WCW rejects / old stars.

I still cannot get my head around how Sting and Kurt can be in the HoF, yet AJ and Bobby are not?

Isn't that amazing that a lot of guys now prefer to go to developmental for WWE and not go to national tv with TNA? It's not actually, TNA pays them peanuts and WWE pays more, but it's still sad for TNA.

as long as talent can kick punch and talk they will be fine, most indie wrestlers cant do all so they wont make a huge difference to ratings

TNA just need to concentrate on storylines, and right now its pretty good
