I didn't mind them as a kid, watching on my like 13in portable tv on vol 1/2 so my mum didn't hear me watching tv at silly hours of the night

Demort O'****** ruined WWE coverage on C4 for me.

It would be sadder if it had been booked and managed better though

WCW was improving in early 2001. It's a shame the deal with Bischoff to buy the company fell through.

The irony is that all of these 'heart-attack waiting people' will outlive TNA.

The matches were getting better and all the silliness of 2000 was gone but so were most of the big stars and it just had the vibe of a dying promotion.

Going on the road was an unnecessary expense that they could have done without. They should have stayed in the original Impact Zone with the occasional PPV on the road.

Without Turner's money, or somebody with that level of money, it likely would have died anyway.

In the death of WCW book, it mentions that Turner turned down a $500 million bid to buy WCW in 2000.

Didn't it only for a few million in the end.

Jericho said it went for so little he had enough in the bank to buy it.

With the TNT/TBS deals they had WCW would have still been worth $65 million in 2001. Without it they were worth he-haw.

Not sure whether it was $1 million or $10 million.

Some people have more money than sense.

The problem with Bischoff was the lack of a TV deal wasn't it? Even if Bischoff's group got WCW for the tiny price WWE paid for it, it would have been like starting all over again.
