Surely the greatest name of all time in wrestling should have something to say about current wrestlers and feuds from time to time? There have been loads of moments over the last few years where Hogan's music hitting unexpectedly during a segment and him coming out to say something relevant to what was going on would have worked better than just wheeling him out at the start of the show to say "buy this".
And that's even before you start considering doing something more creative with him and actually trying to use his character's incredible wealth of history to create a new 2015 (non-wrestling obv) take on Hogan. Beyond WWE's writers I guess.”
I don't understand what feud Hogan adds to in 2015. How does his opinion really matter? Why should I listen to what Hogan is saying about a feud?
His role in 2015 I think is no more than it is now, corporate ambassador. To help sell brand WWE, that is his job and I don't see why involving Hogan in any kind of storyline to give his opinion, or really anything other than media work, is necessary.
And I don't feel like I need a new take on Hogan in 2015, I don't want or need to see an evolution of Hogan's character. He's a legend, a legend I don't like, but a legend all the same. I think that is his character now, the legend. I'd prefer to see Hogan in a role as brand ambassador than see his legacy tarnished any further (Flair I'm also looking at you) by trying to make Hogan relevant in 2015. He's of a time, an era, why does he need to be of this era?
