Lol, the best pro wrestling Northern Ireland has to offer right now is 14 year old girls setting up fights on Facebook.

That looks quite good.

that was a pretty good impact for once(i am a week behind lol) was that in a proper arena for once? it looked bigger.

seen pictures for GFW taping, that looks much better than TNA already, lighting, stage and actual fans! hope it gets a tv deal soon.

Do you think the "impact" production company "Audience of One" points to where they are expecting to be soon?
The need to repeat so much previous stuff during the show due to the issues that have stopped the recorded matches with the BDC being shown it has made the last couple of Impacts really messy & dull tv...

actually with BDC, revolution, the rising, magnus matches etc all now defunct you may as well just have the dolls house implode and there is nothing left they have been building.
it also seems really weird having so much of the show built around people who have left.

the next impact will be unique "singles matches" where only one wrestler fights himself as there is no one else left to fight.

Hmm I don't agree. Very selective camera angles. Looks almost exactly the same size crowd as Impact in the IZ (only a few lines of fans on the hard camera side, etc).

Oh yeah on WWE vs RoH, in my opinion its only a matter of time before WWE runs every other promotion except local indies out of business.

Around 2000, but was heavily papered. Understandably considering how little people know about them and how few shows they've had so far.

Just think about that for a second. GFW in its first taping pulled a crowd that "looks almost exactly the same size crowd as Impact in the IZ" after 13 years. I don't know whether that's piss poor for TNA or relatively good for GFW.

Since all the decent guys have left Im finding it hard to see TNA as interesting.

It was great at one time when they started they had a great roster.

if TNA had a lumberjack match, one of the wrestlers would have to get out of the ring to be it

the last 6 months has been "daft" as all the "who could it be" new people turned out to be people who had just left.

the lack of "content" they record, and then the "problems" they have had has made the 2 hour (and it is in reality far less than that they actually have to fill) been either confusing storylines with people who are or have left the company or repeats of previous stuff. add into that the "one night only" which being recorded several months earlier have fights between people with no "story link" to impact would be ok, if the ppvs did not then muddle themselves with direct reference to the impact storyline as it was when the ppv was recorded... just a mess.

Why do they even bother doing Explosion Havent bothered with that for years. They d be better off turning it into a Superstars style show.

Just heard about these TNA tapings and they seem like a complete mess.

I think it's not so hard outside the US. In the US, WWE have a total stranglehold on the industry. Performers don't want to work anywhere else because they'll be blackballed by WWE. WWE can flex their commercial muscle, asking venues not to host other promotions, as they've allegedly done to TNA when Impact was touring and RoH more recently. And US fans are extremely brand-loyal to WWE.

I didn't say it wasn't a good turnout for GFW. It is! I just said that to me, the pictures don't look like a significantly bigger crowd than the IZ, contrary to the original post.

Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Kevin Owens, Finn Balor, Hideo Itami all say hello. All worked outside WWE, all currently working for WWE. If they are blackballing people who work for other promotions they are doing a bloody terrible job of it

TNA have had access to every name value free agent imaginable in the last 13 years so the blackballing thing doesn't really make sense.

Out of interest who have WWE black balled because they worked for TNA? Or indeed anywhere else. Jarrett (and before that Savage) seems to be the only guy Vince wouldn't bring back/in and I imagine that's more to do with the nature of his departure more than anything else.

I think at this point it really has to be accepted that TNA's failings are their own and not vast WWE driven conspiracy. They've stumbled and failed to land as the solid number 2/WWE alternative because they haven't delivered (or consistently delivered) a product people want to watch. They've had exposure, stars, time and money. That nothing has come of that is entirely down to TNA.

Also confirming the idea national television doesn't want wrestling, AXS TV (who recently signed NJPW to a multi-year deal) are said to have signed the NWA to a new television deal.

Will be glad when Angle regains the belt. EC is just dire.

Can you please use spoiler tags. This is not the first time you have been asked

I just presumed it had aired on Challenge Sunday Night! I found out via another wrestling forum.

I will be glad when Kurt Angle finally has the sense to retire.
