They've 'postponed' one of their three live events in the U.S. this year. The September 18th show is to be rescheduled due to "logistical reasons" with rumours that the September 17th show has been outright cancelled.
Wrestling Observer says while not confirmed they're looking to tape tv in India with Mahabili Sheera as the main face, says none of the wrestlers know if they are on US tv after Bound for Glory, on October 4th.

so perhaps it will be recorded to give them stuff to fill the intl tv sold shows - especially as we are less "bothered" of such viewing non usa arena wwe & tna shows when usa domestic viewing of shows based in foreign countries often see big drop offs in american viewer numbers (see the figures for both raw and impact for shows recorded in the uk this year and last for proof)
this weeks impact started with upbeat lighting effects but immediately started to make little sense as every other word was about GFW
you have to think DA have dumped TNA but might have an option on GFW for the slot...
i like the idea that the "smaller" wrestling companies ignore the WWE (who are in an increasingly different viewing style and who are still trying to "compete" against their own brands - doomed to failure as marketing will never let one beat the other unless planned thus comes over as fake) and the ROH - TNA - GFW - HOH types should loudly compete with each other to create a WCW v WWF type buzz between them... but to actually do it on the competitors show like TNA v GFW... doesnt work!

That would be odd the UK viewers getting one over the States.
So, Bubba is definitely no longer "The Law" anymore, fat lot of good that while segment if getting everyone around the ring and announcing him was then!
Hang on though, I'm not up on Impact right now. I know they've taped miles ahead but has Bully Ray been written off TV yet in the shows that have aired?

Yes he has, although on the last episode on Challenge, Dixie did mention his name, and I think said that she will sort out that situation, so I don't know how they will address it, they probably will just ignore it is my guess.
br had a pay as you go contract... and what happened (he was the new boss, then attacked then off air, then reported "finished" with tna after a week and then, well lets just say 3d for those who are behind on that news,) showed how "make it up as you go" tna has become... no match up has any ongoing "point" it seems other than a few minor stories that hardly "grab"
eg last month saw wrestlers that had already said they were leaving at the ppv "fight" for something it was obvious they would lose (as the ppv was live but after they recorded the impacts that would be shown after the event)
and while not their fault (other than do they double check if someone is out of contract) the need to remove all the BDC segments due to H... which then meant that time needed filling with "out of context" fillers.
just a mess...
so a couple of weeks of "tv" in the can still to see
no word on DA's fall schedule and if tna will be in it
and a small schedule of live events that may be filmed for the tv show (likely the intl impact needs) with a small roster of wrestlers reportedly on a retainer and the rest on a pay as you go basis making up the rest
while at the same time..
GFW (with no tv deal??) is recording its shows for their "amped" tv show (yet no where to show it?) and has a roster of ex tna and others already on it...
my bet... GFW will be announced as in the DA slot if anyone is... and the tna tours may well be renamed.. who knows.. you cant get a lead from the tv show that opened looking much more like they were going somewhere this week with great lighting etc at the start.. and then slipped into what just looked thrown together story segments.
i was glad roh did not "drown" tna on the "wednesday DA block" because that would have been unfair to TNA and their efforts.. but DA should have been more "in" with tna. (& i know they had a descovery shark tie in and DA jackets being worn over the weeks but it still wasnt like a spkie sign on the wall etc). with spike etc there was a lot of co branding.. of "interest" in each other doing well.. maybe DA was the wrong discovery channel.. they should have put it on TLC and pretended the buyer didnt realise what TLC meant in wrestling! it would also fit on eurosport but of course discovery would no doubt prefer skys money for it being on challenge than taking up a slot on their own sports channel
TNA is in a sad state for sure. We're lucky that the Carters' bloody-mindedness and Dixie's passion have kept it going as long as they have. Surely anybody running the place out of anything other than love would have packed it in long ago.
What's that thing about people in the wrestling business and learning from their mistakes? Oh yeah, people in the wrestling business never learn from their mistakes!

it is more like the NWA in set up though... which could be interesting if they can get the affiliates to promote the GFW belt when it visits their franchise
