Dixie is Obsessed with Ballsing up? can she do that in the ring at Bound for Glory as her swansong? sounds entertaining.

So much for Destination America dropping TNA in September. Dirtsheets and IWC lose again.

Don't rile them, they will only claim TNA will be gone by November instead heh

And then December, January .. e.t.c.. there's simply always going to be that element of the so-called "IWC" that will continue to claim TNA is dead until such a point where they do eventually go out of business and these people will say "Told you so".

As far as the 'new' episode of Impact goes, it might potentially be no more of a case of TNA having filmed excess footage at the most recent TV tapings that was enough to construct a new episode.

As whedon has said, they're certainly still on life support though.

Of course, all of the speculation could have been ended if either DA or TNA stood by their brand and came out to say this was untrue as soon as it started.

that and having any wrestlers on a "retained" rather than pay as you go basis - because that largely kills any chance of a story arc over months rather than "who is here today, ok, lets make a feud for today up" - not their fault with mvp etc but bully ray etc just ruined any storyline build

Dixie has confirmed they are with DA through the end of the year and are talking about 2016.

And Dixie and Panda Energy now own 100% of TNA. Jeff Jarrett is out.

Dixie has said they're contracted on DA till the last Wednesday in December.

I tells you, after World War 3 (real World War 3 not the crappy WCW battle royal) all that will be left are cockroaches and tits n' arse rasslin.

ROH and NJPW have the conservative and traditional version of professional wrestling covered. NXT is what TNA nearly was in 2005/2006 - a cool and exciting wrestling company. Only NXT has better production values, more restraint and a clear ongoing direction. WWE is blander than ever yet completely untouchable.

At this stage Dixie might as well copy NXT instead of late 90's American wrestling and reinvent the company as FST. Revel in being the home of former WWE and ROH stars.

So TNA have gone from having a "multi year deal" with Destination America to only being contracted until the end of December?

More than that, the SI article says

Quote:
“History repeated itself a year later, as TNA’s current home for TV–Destination America–will no longer air Impact in 2016.”

and

Quote:
“TNA, as Carter noted, does not currently have a television provider in the United States as of February 2016.”

And the fact TNA haven't announced further tapings suggests we're either getting material taped for One Night Only ppvs on Impact, or we're getting "best of" Impacts from October.

Yeah, it's almost like they're really getting canceled and the story was true after all, isn't it?

SPOILER OF NEWS SO DONT READ ON IF YOU ARE WANTING SUNDAY TO BE A SHOCK

tna are cancelled on DA but from the end of the year - a repeat of spike's end (another "repeat" period though would kill the intl stuff as it stank the first time)
DA are right to "kill" something that isnt working on their channel as it is competitive (and such exit options are normal), but discovery (the parent) really should have found a better place for it - it fits with so many channels they own or part own.
tna have announced an october Halloween tour which will no doubt give them a lot of their tv footage needed along with their other planned events
they are again looking for a us network but are still talking about 5 year plans not life support - they do have a very strong "intl" product but that in reality is only there because they have the usa product to resell
instead of hulk, nash and bischoff perhaps dixie should have hired clarkson hamster and duffer - then amazon would have bought the rights for £150m

Funny, I'm the one whose been saying I don't believe they have been cancelled for how long yet I'm the one who needs to "take a day off".

But it *was* true! DA did have an out-clause and were thinking about using it. Dixie couldn't say that wasn't true, because it was true!

With NXT around and bankrolled by WWE, there's no space in the market for TNA. ROH will be next. It sucks.

Which I now accept but the comment you've responded to was posted before this interview went public. Now I know that it is true, I won't have to say it any more.

ROH won't be next. They're owned by a giant broadcasting group and they're doing just fine. They're not doing big money but they're doing fine for their goals.

It is sad news though they appear to think the money they make from international is enough to keep them going without domestic. I don't see how personally but maybe they can. It may be worth sticking it online for a small charge.

I think the bigger news is that Jarrett is out which (IMO) rules out Jarrett buying the company which is odd.
