So just looked at the taping dates of upcoming episodes of Impact. Do we really have no fully taped shows going forward even though they are on air until at least December?

I can't believe the post-BFG show was filmed on July 30th

I don't even watch TNA but as somebody who watched it more than WWE between 2004 and 2009, it is really saddening to see them in this position. Taken off a third rate channel, six weeks between actually running an event, airing 3 month old tapings as if they were fresh, having a barely discernible roster.

The tournament shows just how bad it is to tape as ahead of time as they do. One guy is currently suspended due to alleged domestic violence and another hasn't wrestled for them in over 3 months!!

Plus having to have stupid excuses to why certain current champs are not coming out with the belt.

Last night was bad even for TNA

Even if they just taped a month ahead of time like NXT does it would minimise the chances of this stuff happening. And if you're going to continue running tapings months in advance and PPV, don't be morons and film the aftermath of the PPV 3 months before it. Run a taping the following night.

It's something they have to address if they are given another lifeline. On the TV deal, they are negotiating with WGN, MavTV and Sportsman Channel (no I've no idea what the last two are either). WGN is said to be the chosen one for TNA but they apparently feel they have leverage because TNA turned them down for DA last year. They are also offering less than DA are paying, and DA ain't paying much.

Its completely insane recording a One Night Only show and then not airing the thing for at least 8 months.

Reports are DA paid about a quater of what Spike did and that did not inc paying for or towards certain wrestlers fees.

They are now having to let people go because of lack of money.

If WGN is paying even less they may as well not bother much more and TNA will be paying them to air the shows.

These are not even that they are dark matches cobbled together to look like a show.

That's fine though because apparently they don't actually need the money, they can survive on international rights alone.

Challenge has recently dropped the Tuesday night repeat. Perhaps this messed with your planner?
Impact only seems to be on Sundays now.

Meltzer is reporting that despite TNA telling talent that the October tour hasn't been cancelled due to poor sales, it was.

Few places also saying they have offered James Storm big money to return, mainly for the tour of India.

so i wonder who will win the competition... where many people shown actually no longer work for tna... "suspending belief" is essential in wrestling storylines and it was bad enough when pre-recorded shows at least had linear showing... but using the dark matches of months ago to create a storyline doesnt work when everyone knows they are already gone

I wouldnt shed a tear if Carter didnt get re signed up. His Title run was pretty mediocre how TNA bigged him up like some god and it was crap.

True and that says alot about TNA.

Once Roode has gone though TNA will not be worth watching.

I agree, I watched more of TNA than WWE from 2007/2010 and I feel in my honest opinion they have never recovered from the disastrous choice in hiring Hulk Hogan, once he came in and they went back to 4 sides and tried to start the Monday Night Wars by going against RAW, things have been spiraling downhill since.

They have lost a lot of what made them unique in the last 5 years, It's so saddening to watch actually as 10 years ago, TNA was fresh/vibrant and a nice alternative to watch, now they're taping post PPV TV months before the actual PPV has aired thus making it pointless to watch the PPV.

I stopped watching TNA on Challenge about a month ago as it was too sad to watch. I honestly believe TNA won't be here this time next year, losing Storm and Joe was a big blow to them. Shame really..

They were screwed once Styles & Daniels quit.

If Angle quit they would be in trouble.
