Apparently angle has "officially" announced his TNA retirement. And he's only specifically said TNA as well - not wrestling - so I imagine he'll be pushing hard for a WWE return when he ends his sabbatical.

I just had a look on the observer message board and it appears that TNA have now cancelled their last 7 scheduled shows - 4 in the U.S. and 3 in the India.
, is where on earth is this World Title Series going now? The India tapings were going to tape the Semi Finals and they haven't announced any further tapings until they go live on Pop. Also, I've read they are still paying talent (at least partially) for the India tour because, just like the cancelled Halloween tour, that week they were supposed to be in India is the last big weekend of the year for Indie promotions and talent had to turn down bookings for TNA to then cancel the shows. So they've seemingly had to pay partial or full payments for the 7 cancelled shows anyway. |

Yeah I think that's the case. The problem is, well I see it as a problem but then I hate TNA and want them to die obviously

And they couldn't have just changed their flights and flew into London and then got a direct flight from London to India rather than cancelling another tour?
india is a multi-cultural country that has great terrorist threats... dont forget the mumbai attack. so at the "go/no go" decision moment last week an american tour in any part of that world, even one "as safe as" india may not have been a good idea and could well have been an easier target if certain groups were looking for an "event" to make headlines. you wont see that then reported as "hey we thought it was dangerous" (for local pride or marketing reasons alone) - but sporting events all over that region are regularly rebooked due to security concerns - and by sports with far more money & political push to secure it going ahead. |

as for last weeks show.... you have to laugh at the fact clashes between "what was already recorded that could fill time" and the real world timeline...
did i see Brooke Tessmacher in a one to one chat with chubs (he has put some on, but that is usual as you get older) about "her first day" at tna, and they joked about her last day... funny eh if it was that brooke.... as for the pop tv deal... isnt pop a channel where the content gets a share of the revenue far more than traditional channels where the content is bought and the advertising etc is pocketed by the broadcaster.. while not like the (very different wwe us tv deals) it means it is taking more of the "upfront risk" themsleves rather than the channel for a better cut of the spoils if it works. and the examples quoted of revenue per hour between d-us and pop quite meaningless because of the "average" draw of the "average type of show on that channel" not being comparable. ie... dont take a headline without thinking of the spin its written to attract a reader with |

"my first day" the "time filler/mix up the content material" continued this week with yet another person who has left
![]() they really did have the bare minimum recorded to fill the shows with from people who would still be on the show come the re-launch |

I wasn't there, but apparently Angle said at his Edinburgh show he knows WWE aren't interested (arrested too many times for drink driving/too much craziness) but seemed to hope if he could prove he was clean for a while he could do a Wrestlemania.

Is anyone else really getting a tad bit fed up with this tournament now?
It seems to have gone on for an absolute age, with no end in sight! |

When they started the tournament I did think it seemed like a good idea but I got fed up with it after the first couple of weeks. The only good bits have been the comedy matches with Grado and Spud.
With Matt Hardy already having said in a promo that it is heading for a final between him and EC3 and the eliminations looking like that might be the case I would hope that they could now find a way to make it interesting and throw in some upsets and curve-balls. I would like to see a final between 2 unexpected contestants like Jesse Godderz and Tigre Uno or maybe have Shera win it as they obviously do have plans for him. If they then want to put the belt on someone like Matt or EC3 again they could do that via more conventional matches once the tournament is all over. |

It should be an opportunity to do something to different and interesting. Not just set up the match they would’ve had anyway. |

finnaly watched impact for first time in 2 months via on demand
least ive got to the tournament at right time, nice to see mixed gender matches. now they have new tv deal they need to revamp and ditch the blue ring ropes. also get vince russo in and stop pushing in ring wrasslin, even fans on here realise wrestling is boring on its own, hence why tournament isnt great can anyone fill me in why there is a tournament? ec3 was champ last time i saw it |

Did I get that right? Speaking of which the round of 16 had 8 matches of the never ending in one show is that a record? And since there are only 4 matches in the round of 8 does that mean there will be actual matches not part of the never ending this week finally |

If can recall that far back, in TNA world EC3 lost the BFG match against Matt Hardy in the 3 way match with Drew Galloway to Matt hardy, mainly because of Blatant cheating by the guest refferee jeff Hardy who hit him with a chair (a mistake obviously heh), he then threatened his Aunt Dixie with violence. Then the next day he served an injunction on TNA threatening to tie up the world championship in knots for months, at which point Matt gave up the belt and TNA came up with the never ending tournement that never ends.

Desperate just about sums it up
They are resuming tapings in January on the UK tour (presuming they don't cancel this tour too) so finals should be live. |
