Guys it's real simple and I've said it all along, if you put on a wrestling show, you're only going to draw wrestling fans, that's why ROH doesn't get many viewers, that's why NJPW doesn't get many viewers, that's why WWE has their core audience of 3 million viewers. Every company has their core audience that will watch no matter what. If all you're gonna do is match, inring, match, inring, match the only people that will sit and watch it are wrestling fans and wrestling fans are a tiny little audience, nothing compared to the casual TV audience.
The fact of the matter is nothing has changed in TNA, it's still the same people writing the show, it's still the same management so of course nothing will change, just like WWE it's the same people doing the same jobs.
TNA at one point did hit 2 million viewers and were regularly drawing 1.3s and 1.4s and maybe that 2 million the Impact after the 10.10.10 Bound For Glory was the maximum reach for that company, maybe that was as good as it was ever gonna get for them but it's a damn sight better than what they are doing now. I also know the night Bischoff and Hogan debuted they did a very high number.
What else is there to say really? Who's gonna sit and watch it apart from wrestling fans? If you're changing the channel and you see it, why you watch it if you didn't like wrestling? You wouldn't. The WWF proved in the 80's that when you have characters and stories people will watch wrestling, even WCW proved it later on and then the WWF took it a step further in the Attitude Era and it revolved around characters and stories. That's why all the extra millions of people watched.
