I was not expecting a five star match, as they are way past that stage now in their careers, I was expecting however for the in ring segments to actually hold me in a sense of disbelief and wonder, (which they did not).
I get the wacky and fun element of it, it had to be that way if there was no audience to play off, and seeing as it was outside at night.
That would have been fine, and I would have loved that, if it was performed to a better degree, not having proper lighting was not crazy or out-there, it was just a poor decision, as it meant that it was hard to follow what was actually going on.
Look I get that this was never going to be up for any mat technicians awards, and that is fine, there are many, many different ways to have a great and fantastic match between two people (and I say that having watched hogpen matches, and other such unimaginable match types!), and trying something different is great, and for that I applaud TNA, and the Hardy's.
However the actual execution was just not done to a satisfactory standard, it could have been great, it had all the potential in the world to just be that, but alas it was not.
