solid show... allie is a classic character that is ruined by the "tiny" number of options afforded by the small knockouts active roster.

final deletion 2 was missing something.

Yes, sense, logic, any idea of threat or danger, and wrestling. It was utterly bonkers!
That said, I rather enjoyed it, though I'm not really sure why...

I thought it was much better then the first one and I really enjoyed it, it was rediculous but I think that was the point.

Not sure how I feel about the new format of 3 rounds, something different I suppose, but I can't see it being very popular.

i think the british wrestling on tv in the 70s had rounds...

it's a gimmick that helps enable the "switch" mid match and thus prolong the guess on the outcome. it will help make the show feel more about wrestling than the wwe...

ono ppv on tonight

That 3 minute rounds is utter garbage.

The Hardys' latest installments were hilarious. Jeff's rebirth, the restoration of Vanguard 1, "What is this decrepit erection?"

agree.... the hardys and decay continue to play their characters well
cheesy classic wrestling skits

broken hardy using (the very dirty lake) to resuscitate brother nero... who initially came back as the suspiciously "smoking" fired heavy weight belt holding hardy before being reborn again as brother nero was a good laugh

(as was the lawyer version of abyss the week before)

saturdays ono ppv was weird...

no reason or build up for the matches (which makes no difference as the daft "theme" they often have can be stupid anyway) hurts a "ppv" a bit... although there was some "in keeping with impact" in the match ups... (unlike a year ago where random matches confused the storyline of the impact shows)

finally they had the return of "the fixer" brodus clay....

the opening match was what would normally be a comedy based one, and thus used mid ppv.... starting off with a "who is going to start" mixed sex tag team match was just weird...

still, at least they are trying to be different er.

impact's "empty arena" match with spud helped "break up the look" of the show coming from one location... mixing in with some parking lot scenes and of course the hardy house sketches... all worked ok considering the reality of it being the same soundstage as every other week...

and the what happened to "bram" was kind of answered when daphney, sorry rosemary (hehehe) mentioned he hadnt joined decay so had been destroyed... it wasn't enough of a name check to think he might come in as a match spoiler at a later date...

allie remains a well acted loveable "simple bimbo" - and a new knockout that "looks like her" was introduced... sadly, when one ko comes in one leaves which is why the allie gimmick is the only thing going for the ko storyline... when there are only a few girls in it, then the possible combination of matches is limited... and it shows.

Meltzer says HHH wants very much for #BrokenMatt, Seņor Benjamin, Vanguard1 and all to defect to the evil empire of MeekMahan!

HHH must be deleted.

Corgan has thrown Dixie under the bus in an interview with espn-

Quote:
“"Many times in the past, TNA has made the mistake of bringing in WWE people to sort of create a buzz that didn't sustain," Corgan said. "But success is building a culture that is distinctly your own, with your own identifiable signature. If everything you do doesn't feed into that, you are making a big mistake that history shows does not work.

Corgan is proud of his roster's talent and depth, but he admits it needs to find stability, calling TNA very much a "work in progress." He's also invested in changing its culture from a company he believes has been too willing to live in the shadow of its competition”

http://www.espn.com/wwe/story/_/id/1...pact-wrestling

His entire business plan seems to be based on doing a Final Deletion every couple of months though.

his only "announced" plan... no point is saying too much as the wwe would copy it

impact was a solid show... except for the tiny ko division.. gail kim couldn't have been less disguised if she tried... and frankly she is a boring character with no where left to go in angles.

Meltzer is saying (so pinch of salt needed) a deal to buy the company needs to be sorted by Friday. Apparently WWE is in the mix to buy them but Corgan needs a deal by Friday to fund Sunday's BFG and next weeks tapings.
JCR

WWE is the 'call us when you're dead and we will buy the tape library' option though. Ditto Sinclair, who would only want their tv slots for Ring of Honor.
JCR
27-09-2016
Suppose it is possible Vince offers more for the tape library than Corgan or the Harris brothers offer to keep TNA as a going concern though, maybe we've not been reminded who the greatest wrestling promoter ever is lately.

Another report saying that it's between WWE and Corgan. Wonder whether we could see TNA as an ongoing concern to test the waters under WWE but I imagine the deal will be select contracts, brand name and library.

Would the TV slot be all that valuable to Sinclair?

If Meltzer is to be believed, we could know by Friday.

I think the most we could hope for is MeekMahan appearing onscreen in Matt's screening room to tell Maxel he's joining the kiss my ass club.

It's the tv in India & the UK that Sinclair were interested in, but I guess not anymore.

Vince Russo spoke to Billy Corgan last week and he had every intention of buying it.
Hollie_Louise
27-09-2016
The thing I find questionable about the story is why TNA would pay for Cody to come in if they don't have the money to fund their PPV and next weeks TV tapings. It's all really quite odd.

A few years ago it would have been sad to see the company going under but the only people I have sympathy for now are the roster and crew potentially out of work.

YOu can have every intention of buying it but IF it is a matter of getting funds into TNA so they can run a PPV this Sunday, it needs to stop being an intention pretty quickly
