Meltzer says the World of Sport pilot may be broadcast at 4pm on December 31st, (presumably his source is JR) or it maybe on another day around that time, but regardless it appears to be pre watershed and as such probably wouldn't be teamed with TNA.

Sounds like it could be just pre-watershed fluff then, shame really.
Wonder how the newer fans will take it that two out of three falls matches are what is a normal match. |

That's pretty much what WOS was I think the plan is to make it like it used to be.

So what happens January? No UK deal so is it only a matter of time before they pull the plug in the states?

NB- TNA did 319 thousand viewers is the US on Thursday. It was beaten in the 18-49 demo by Drone Racing on ESPN2 and a programme called Ghost Bear on National Geographic on the night.
(Though I've just googled it and Ghost Bear is apparently about wild bears and wolves fighting in Canada, which does sound better than tits n arse rasslin') |

Plug isn't being pulled, Anthem has now paid Corgan somewhere between $1.9-2.7M to go away and are presumably paying best part of a million for tapings at HouseHardy next week. They don't look like they're giving up anytime soon.

no mr windows... you seem to be waiting for it.
pop tv is a unique type of channel. it is a byo content type of thing. the deal therefore is not the same as other networks.. doesnt mean they will maintain their marketable slot but it isnt the same as spike etc. more importantly... look at who has invested in tna and why. they are a direct to market channel that outside the usa & uk sell their "channel" direct to viewers (eg its an app on fire or apple tv) in lots of countries.. it is quite possible their plan is to make the uk & usa the same... ie.. tna will become content for their direct network... with them talking a return to touring tna, tna having a "on demand" history etc you can see a "wwe network" but of anthem supplied content being very possible... tna isnt dead.. it appears to be becoming a lego brick within the content offering of the fight network family.. just for the record though... i wouldnt buy it. if tna doesnt end up on one of the 260 odd channels i get in my cable bundles then i am not adding it... i have enough tv & on demand stuff to fill my days. |

Tis quite clear anthem want TNA.
Tis less clear why they want missus 'I publicly denied trying to sell TNA to WWE the day after I phoned Kevin Dunn trying to sell TNA to WWE' involved. |

4pm would be about right as if I recall correctly that is about what time it used to be shown.
I think id rather watch classic episodes from the 70s/80s like Men & Movies used to air. |

I think too much time has passed for this to be a success. There are enough independant UK wrestling promotions around so dont really think we need World of Sport back.
I think id rather watch classic episodes from the 70s/80s like Men & Movies used to air. |

Sorry but your wrong.

Theres a rumour going about at the moment that apparently TNA changed their pricing and wanted more money for Challenge to broadcast it. Hence the reason they said no.
Not sure how truthful that is though. I still cant believe TNA have the nerve for blaming fans for spoilering things as the reasons they get bad ratings. Maybe they shouldnt tape stuff 5 months in advance then. Wasent there a ONO show a few years ago that got taped so far in advance that the world champion wasent the champion anymore time it actually aired? |

Yes, I believe so, and there were countless other continuity errors too, like wrestlers appearing who everyone knew had left the company (and been written out on screen in Impact Wrestling)!
Certainly if the price hike rumour is true, I'm not surprised that Challenge walked away. How on earth can you justify asking for more money when the ratings are a fraction of what they originally were?!

(which is why above i thought that sounded like tna will be shown by the fight network in the uk... as they already do for the other countries they offer their online/amazon fire etc based network to - if they can't get a new uk traditional channel) |

if tna does disappear from being available on one of my current 260 channels then i won't miss josh matthews saying crap like "al snow trending worldwide on twitter right now" when that could not have been known when it was recorded!!
trying to "sound" like raw live when you are not live is really sad. tna shouldnt push the suspension of belief too far, because it ceases to be credible it instead just bursts the bubble |

the main event dcc v hardies & edwards had a satisfying amount of broken tables & painful double chair flips...
too much of "last week" filling the time broken hardy still funny the midcard and the girls still "too thin" to mix the stories up. dcc being unmasked last week & the mixed music branding a bit weird this week as a result - dcc unmasking needed to be the start of a 2 month tv batch recording session not the end of one.. because anyone who spotted the internet updates of MIA bram & storm being part of the dcc long before their unmasking wouldn't have been so "wow" than they should have been. those are the moments tna needs it's "live" show to set the agenda for the weeks ahead (that can be recorded) |

I always record Impact Wrestling mainly so I can fast forward through the "last week" sections!
There's always been padding in the international versions of the show as it isn't actually long enough otherwise to fill a two hour slot. Remember that that have a huge amount more advertising time on American TV than is allowed here thank goodness. They used to fill with interminable music sequences featuring the knockouts at photo shoots and things like that!
