It's probably quite obvious, anyone have any idea what this is about? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrFJK...rWbFYHjDv946QQ

Hogan is still a name to some people. When he's promoting Impact tapings he gets himself on radio, TV shows when no one else in the company would be able too. Since he came on board, TNA programming is being shown in a load of new markets. I'm not saying TNA desperately needs Hogan but to say he means squat and has done nothing for them isn't true.
The past two UK tours he has appeared on daytime chat-shows to promote it (Loose Women and Alan Titchmarsh) as well as a few radio shows. Not exactly Graham Norton show or Jonathan Ross, but it's better than nothing. The only other guy in TNA who was able to do promo for it was Angle, and even then that was only doing the Premier League predictions for the BBC. The truth is that we just don't know how many people buy tickets for the shows to see Hogan. By all accounts, house shows tend to draw anywhere from 250 to 2000 fans, whilst TV tapings tend to range between 2000-4000, with UK tapings and PPVs in the 3000-10000 range. |

MMA junkie reported Viacom want to do a ppv with a Rampage v Roy Jones Jr boxing match as the main event at the end of this year- http://www.mmajunkie.com/news/2013/0...r-year-end-ppv
If this is true there's no way Rampage is doing anything physical for TNA in the meanwhile. |

So Chris Sabin is having a rematch against Bully Ray, in a cage because Hogan 'doesn't want any interference' because of course there is never any interference in a cage match, like hammers being thrown over the top or other members of aces and 8's climbing into the ring. And why did Sabin look so smug at the announcement and Ray look so shocked, it should be the other way round. Although I still think Sabin will win the match somehow.
And what was the point of having Velvet Sky at ringside? she didn't do anything, it was like Mickie James being at ringside the other week, she didn't do anything so what's the point? |

Bellator have announced a MMA ppv on 2nd November with Rampage vs Tito Ortiz as the main event. Chance of Rampage taking any bumps for TNA before then = zero.
I'd laugh if Tito was the mystery August 1st guy TNA are hyping online. |

Whatever happened to "King Mo", didn't he have a deal with TNA at one point?
Rampage just standing there in the ring, without doing anything, just seems rather pointless really. What was the point bringing him in, if he isn't going to do anything? |

great booking to have AJ beat hardy by clean submittion
loving aj new dark look, he gets cheers and boo's because he is a tweener, its going according to plan when he fueds with bully the fans will make him face, its perfect booking. and we have all seen it before with austin, rock and sting. sonjay being passed over again sucks, at least manik is cannon fodder for sabin next week, his probably lone successful title defence. |

I dunno, hard to tell. I don't think it's impossible it does 200k buys, UFC 119, main evented by Frank Mir vs CroCop did 295k and they were both way past their prime; though on reflection I think it maybe the UFC brand that is a big part of the appeal of MMA pay per views and without it Viacom maybe stuck. Viacom reportedly signed Rampage on big money, so I assume they still think he's a draw.
And so TNA are stuck with it for another 3 months. |

So....all that fuss over a small bald whisp of a man?
The guy is tiny, the reactions of MeM and AaE was rediculous and really didnt work considering the size of Knox and Rampage. |

Hmm... I'd never really heard of Tito Ortiz before all the fuss in the last Impact, and watching the end of the show was something of a let down. Couldn't see why everyone was trying to look Really Scared of him - well, nearly everyone, Anderson managed to look merely befuddled. But why hold that shot for what seemed like just ages and ages. It wasn't dramatic, it wasn't a huge revelation, it was just dull...
Shame really, as the rest of of Impact was solid - and AJ and Austin really went for it (though I didn't like the weak ending). But that match, once again, made me wonder why on earth TNA aren't pushing both A Double and AJ so much more. They should be the ones going for Bully Ray, not Sabin. I like Sabin, he's a terrific athlete and his match with Manik was strong, but he's simply not powerful enough to be Champ. What happened to AJ's big comeback - he seems to be floundering again - surely the dark and mysterious new AJ should be the one hunting down Bully Ray? I mean he's got the perfect submission move now - the calf-killer is surely designed to be used on Calfzilla Bully? |

Tito has been in TNA before, so it isn't exactly new territory for him.
But the reactions were totally OTT in the extreme. |

AJ is in best storyline he has ever been imo |

Anyway Ortiz has had numerous neck and back surgeries so there's less than no chance he's taking any wrestling bumps. Can do a good heel promo though
