I love TNA and I'm normally the first to try and look on the positive side but it really has been flat for some time now.

The A&8 storyline has dragged on for far too long (gotta say I was happy to see Wes Briscoe go, his gurning face was as bad as party martys) and talent such as Mr Anderson who can be really over with the crowd as a tweener was completely lost in the mix.
I just hope its all a giant work and they are going to surprise us with something fantastic!

I think some of this doom and gloom may be going a bit far. It was only two weeks ago that they put on one of the best Impacts of the year (the "No Surrender" one).

What we can say for sure:

- They've undoubtedly let a lot of people go recently.
- Spike should stop insisting their MMA stars appear on Impact. It has contributed to the current creative confusion.
- Dixie does not need to be an onscreen character. It looks too much like trying to ape WWE, especially at the moment.

Everything else is just internet rumor right now. The majority of internet opinion, especially salaried opinion, is heavily WWE-biased, as ever. Almost certainly there's been a tightening of purse strings, but in terms of TNA actually going out of business, it seems unlikely unless both Spike and Panda Energy pull out.

It would take, at most, a few weeks to sort the show out creatively. Let's hope that happens, and that people are put in place who can focus on making a solid, logically booked Wrestling show, using the formidable talent they still have.

I completeley agree with you & hope things perk up soon! Any airtime given to Daniels & Kaz is worth its weight in gold at the moment and I'm sure there is plenty of potential for Aries to get to the top of the tree again.
Perhaps the trimming of the fat will refocus things - as much as I'm happy I met the guy on the 2012 tour I don't know how much benefit Hogan is bringing when in media stories like the following he is only ever refered to as WWE former champion and no mention of TNA! Something the marketing guys need to get on to.... or possibly not if he's gone already! (no spoilers please )

Anyhow, I was quite happy with the most recent Impact, interesting to see the Hogan walkout (have avoided all spoilers!) if he has gone it was with a whimper instead of a bang!
Glad to see Lay'd Tapa back, still a bit green but will fill the awesome Kong gap which has been empty for too long in my opinion. Never gonna happen but I'd love to see Daffney back too

The way Hogan left was just ridiculous. I suppose that's what having creative control lets you do. I still can't believe they gave Hogan that in his contract in this day and age. He means nothing.

The knockout who Lay'd Tapa has fought twice should be given a contract as well, their stark contrast in styles made a couple of good interesting matches. It could be developed into a decent feud where it's believable that someone can get the best of Lay'd Tapa's size and power and beat her clean.

Lei'd Tapa v Ivelisse Velez (couldn't remember the other name).

The trouble is who is there for her to fight? There are only about three or four Knockouts left, so to really get over would require beating them multiple times, which would soon get a tad bit boring.

TNA were putting on a pretty good product all year long,shame they have decided to pack it in

Agreed, I wish they had still got the Gail Kim v Taryn Terrell feud going as they also had a couple of standout matches.

Mickie James promos as a heel champ were really funny too.

That is the thing, a monster heel needs someone the exact opposite in which to get the best reactions, but there really isn't anyone like that at the moment in the women's division.

In a way, I would say it is just simply, the right character at the wrong time.

How many matches can she have now, which help or cement her as a top heel? One? Two? Possibly three at a push?
Shame really I think, as the character does have potential to be a good one, but there isn't any depth at the moment for her to get any sort of momentum going.

I don't really watch anymore, I just catch highlights on YouTube as I can skip through two hours of awful crap.

The ultimate X match coming up might be worth watching if Sabin gets replaced, but if not, maybe not.

Aeries, Hardy, Manic and Daniels would be far, far better.

I really hope Manik holds onto the belt but I fear a title change in that one.

To be fair if your skipping through most of the 'awful crap' you're probably not going to give a balanced opinion of the product... Its easy to miss the nuggetts of gold in the poo you know!

a good rule of thumb is to skip 3 mins everytime a match starts.

I still reckon he gets a decent pop from the crowd despite the fact we know it's T.J. Perkins. If you think about it - even in the past we could pinpoint who was likely under the mask at any given time although I'm not disagreeing with the mystique an 'unknown' masked wrestler holds.

I thought it was a refreshing change from always having the wrestler under the mask as unknown to we were actually introduced to him and his story.

He had that name for well over two years wasn't it?
So it couldn't have been because of that reason surely??

It just doesn't make sense to change his name, but keep the same costume.

If you are going to change someone's name, then at least change their costume and music, if not their whole character as well.

That's the only thing I could really think of as the most legitimate reason. Like when W.W.F. had their name for years but when the other W.W.F. finally decided to officially kick up a fuss about it - action was obviously taken.

Getting back to Lei'd Tapa, I think that it's good that they're giving her a blatant push via these run-ins on other knockouts but they are setting themselves up for a fall unless they sort the knockouts roster out/give the monster heel a decent feud.

The only one that could stand up to Tapa is probably ODB, but isn't she in a different feud at the moment? (I forget with all the goings on at the moment?)

Not sure tbh, the only other active knockout seems to be Gail Kim.

I just had this thought in my head about ODB and her "husband" doing something together recently, although I might have got that mixed up with another time to be honest.

Velvet is still around as is Tessmahcer, but both are being used mainly as arm candy these days.

They were supposed to have a match which Tapa interrupted and beat the crap out of Velvet, but Velvet/Tapa feud? Bit of a mismatch.

I miss nothing, I just don't have to waste 2 hours of my life on it when 10/20 minutes is plenty
