I have doubts about that. The kings of cable in America are Viacom, NBC/Universal and Time Warner. There are others, but those operate the package of channels wrestling is most likely to appear on.

Seems unlikely NBCUniversal would not veto a brand like WWE having its programming on a rival conglomerate. I know WWE has had shows on other networks, such as Main Event on ION. But ION Media Network is small fry and would be unproblematic .

If WWE signed anything with Viacom it would likely have to take all its TV with it. However, NBC has historically been a better ally. Spike TV, MTV, Nickeldeon and film distribution links such as Paramount Pictures could certainly be useful. WWE's deal with USA Network also expires next October...

WWE on BT Sport? TNA on USA Network and Sky Sports?
I think Raw will stay on USA and Smackdown will stay on SyFy, where TNA will be in the future I have no idea. I think all WWE programming will be on NBCUniversal by 2015 due to the size of deal they want

I think Spike will keep TNA going forward but for how long they will stick with the poor ratings though

So I think we are drawing ever closer to the demise of Aces and Eights, dispite that angle on the last Impact.

Not that bad a show, but equally, not much really happened either.

Well, its Anderson vs Bully Ray at Turning Point with Anderson's TNA career on the line vs Aces and Eights being dissolved.

Must just say, I am finding EC3 and his "feud" with Norv and Dewie quite amusing.

I don't really see where he fits in at the moment, and just beating jobbers doesn't exactly elevate him anywhere.

Perhaps he will get involved with DIxie down the road, but at the moment, he just doesn't add anything to the show, and I find myself just fast forwading his sqaushes.

Yes, why not have him team up with Rob Terry and feud with the Bro-Mans? He can't keep trashing a weedy jobber every week, surely? It's become boring already.

Great Impact this week BTW. The main event was insane; the best gimmick match I've seen this year. The way Hardy is willing to put his body on the line is amazing & Sabin's heel persona is hilarious. Putting a match like that on free TV and people still complain about TNA? It beggars belief.

I could be wrong, but I believe they've announced the match and stipulations after Impact finished on Thursday.

I didn't realise, I thought 1.something million viewers turning into a US TV show is quite poor? I take back what I said then

EC3 is being fed easy opponents because dixie owns the company, i like that they are not rushing it.

TNA Impact was the highest ratings, but Spike TV's COPS show has slightly overtaken it. Both of them are double the rating of just about everything else.

The problem with TNA though, it that it scores lowly in the lucrative 18-49 demographic, whereas WWE is impressive in that respect. The 18-49s being the most attractive group for advertisers. Worse still for TNA, they have lost something like 40% of their viewers in 3 years.

Spike TV would drop it in a heartbeat for a deal with WWE. As it is, TNA will more than likely stay on the channel. The network has had wrestling for nearly 15 years - since it was bought by Viacom - starting with the ECW on TNN show. Like Ted Turner, there is somebody on the company board who either likes or recognises how valuable wrestling can be.

I didn't think I was going to like EC3 from watching his build-up, but he has surprised me. His posing, mannerisms and "attitude" come across quite well. If he were just beating a different unknown jobber every week it would be boring, but to see him having basically the same match every week with the same 2 jobbers is actually quite a funny storyline idea. The crowd were even chanting "Dewie, Dewie" for a while. There are all sorts of possibilities for what could happen to him in the future, but I hope they keep this wind-up going for a bit with Norv and Dewie.

By the way, he is right that the 99 percent need the 1 percent. The 1 percent provide a huge chunk of the public finances and provide investment that leads to jobs for people.

If Smackdown can go a Viacom owned channel, then it makes sense for Spike to make a play for Smackdown as a higher rated lead in for Bellator.

To be fair this was one match, the first decent match since Angle v Roode. Full metal mayhem is always great and Hardy is simply amazing but I was very impressed with Sabin who I have never liked or rated.

Anyway, one decent match per month does not a wrestling promotion make. TNA is packed full of boring matches and cheap time fillers, thats the problem.

Hopefully with the soon to be demise of the Aces and Eights, that will mean less mike time for Bully Ray and with that any response from the now "on the Shelf" Main Event Mafia, so they could instead put matches on for that same time period, although I won't get my hopes up too much.

You might be right. In any case it's not a big spoiler!

Hmm. By my memory, there has never been a wrestling promotion in any era which was 100% entertaining, 100% of the time. Even '99-'01 WWF had loads of boring filler which people tend to forget about.

TNA will hopefully improve as they stabalise, but I actually consider one great match a month a pretty decent hit rate!

Nice to see that the Blossom Girlies are floating around in there.
But come on guys, you have to admit, EC3 was the best part of the show.

I enjoy watching the unpredictable Hardy wrestle, he can do things that make you go wow. How does he not break bones all the time is a miracle.

I'm surprised Hardy still kills himself at his age. Especially for a company like TNA.

Those 2 jobbers who face EC3 are quite funny
