I don't think its a work about you know who, as they just can't afford to keep him now, as they are in financial trouble, and hes supposedly already signed up to do other stuff the day after his contracts up, so the talk is, thats it, hes already done, as they just couldn't agree, contract will just expire.
Makes you wonder if keeping the great orange one for as long as they did basically bled them dry and put them in this hole ? |

I would think that AJ will come back to TNA. I mean, he might float around the indy feds for a bit but where else is he going to go? They might even be trying to swerve us, as TNA love to do.
I know TNA can be really stupid but are they really so stupid to have booked themselves into the corner that they have with the world title angle? Maybe Magnus will have a run of a few months as a heel champion before AJ eventually comes back for the big showdown. |

TNA executive Andy Barton has been putting about that they are more successful than WWE in both Germany and UK because they get more viewers
Whilst I accept it's his job to big them up, what he failed to mention is that whilst WWE airs on pay TV in both countries, TNA is on free to air TV. He also fails to recognise that whilst, for example week ending December 1st, IMPACT got 179,000 at 9pm on a Sunday night on free TV, RAW got 130,000 at 1am Tuesday morning on pay TV. Why can't they be a little bit careful with what they say, it makes them look stupid in the long run |

The figures dont lie,TNA reaches more viewers in the uk,its simple. not to mention that TNA actually takes the time to appeal to the uk market. Viewer wise tna is the biggest company here.

And you don't think it's more impressive that 130k will tune into Raw at 1am and only 49k more will watch at 9pm for impact?

Hell yeah,TNA is a tiny and in comparison to the wwe a new company, its amazing that they beat the wwe in the ratings at all even on with the wwe on pay tv. do you not find that very fact spectacularly amazing?
I'm not saying TNA's ratings aren't great, they are, but there are certainly factors involved that help them along |

On FTA at 9pm.. It's like putting X Factor at 1am on Pay TV and Big Brother on at 9pm on free TV and then saying BB is winning. If it wasn't getting more viewers in primetime than WWE gets in graveyard id be worried

Its a work, this promotional video was uploaded yesterday by a news paper and a uk wrestling company ajs due to appear in, it shows tna clips etc if Aj wasnt still apart of TNA and didnt have their permission it would be copyright infringement. |

The rumour mill now heavily suggests that it might be! Talk about confusing!
But then it really could just be nothing more than a power play by his representatives to get the money he wanted - it's probably not the first time someone has said "Pay me what I want or I quit". They probably tried to call his bluff and were taken by surprise when he actually did let his contract expire. |

Why can't they be a little bit careful with what they say, it makes them look stupid in the long run Bigger than WWE? Probably not. The numbers that WWE draws to UK live events are far beyond TNA and the pay-wall situation with Sky Sports can go some way to explaining the discrepancies in viewer numbers. The pay-wall argument is, however, massively overstated. The 1AM start-time means nothing considering that Sky subscribers have an easy recording function and RAW is repeated during the week at a more sensible viewing hour too. Moreover, Sky Sports is a channel that can draw millions of viewers to Premier League matches - indeed a top match will draw more viewers to Sky Sports in 2 hours than will tune into Challenge all day. There is NO DOUBT that WWE, despite being behind a pay-wall, still have a wider promotional base than TNA, simply thanks to the massive power of Sky. |

We continue positive discussions with TNA but not exclusively. AJ has not yet agreed to a new deal nor signed a contract with anyone.

in the "real" world, he most likely has walked away over money issues and TNA may have realised he wasn't kidding when he said he'd let his contract expire so are now reaching out to discuss a new deal. in the world of the average wrestling fan who wants to one-up the next one with "insider" knowledge, they won't believe a word of it and will insist it's a "work" or "kayfabe". but then i suppose that's the nature of the business really .. |
