Cool. Thanks loads for the info. What a surprise the "TNA have lost Universal" newz turned out to be false.
Really enjoyed most of Impact this week. I thought the Sting run-in fest was too soon after the AJ run-in fest. But Roode \ Angle was just great old school storytelling. Angle's cage moonsaults are like love letters to the business. Also, Impact US TV ratings significantly up, I believe. I thought Genesis 2 was quite good actually. That missed moonsault off the top of the cage looked good. |

My son and I were discussing the New investor the other day, and he came up with a theory.
He suggested that the investor could be Desmond Wolfe. This is because the new tag team are called The Wolves, and they said "The Wolves are coming" or something like that on a promo. It would also be a tie in to Magnus being TNA Champ (obviously both British and it could lead to a "Disrespecting your country" type storyline. Thirdly the fact that the investor is being revealed in UK, with it being more of an impact here than the US, also MVP being "revealed" (pardon the pun) in the UK just doesn't make sense. As Judge Judy often says, "If it doesn't make sense, it's not true" What do you think? |

Checked ticket master for tickets and none are available for glasgow,so either the shows sold out or most of the arena is closed.. Anyone have any ideas on attendance for the glasgow show? |

You thought Angle / Roode was boring???
even things they do well are ruined by terrible crowd reactions. roster is decimated. |

You're kidding me? Maybe you should stop watching wrestling if you're fast forwarding a match like that. You're telling me there wasn't a crowd reaction? For the moonsault? For the finish? I'd take a look if your TV volume is broken.
i didnt say that match had no reaction, and i singled out the moonsault myself. this is not an appreication thread, i did not like this weeks show,i am allowed to state my opinion without being told to stop watching. |

I didn't mean to suggest you weren't entitled to your opinion, sorry if it came across like that. |

And I would argue that there was a fan reaction to Roode / Angle (I also thought there was fan reaction to other parts of the show too, actually).
I didn't mean to suggest you weren't entitled to your opinion, sorry if it came across like that. Generally it always looks like the crowd is quite lively, but we don't always hear it via the TV though. If I was the producer I'd want to amp up the crowd noise as much as possible - regardless of the quality of the wrestling it usually comes across like a far more exciting show if we can hear the crowd. |

sorry if i snapped seibu
the crowd look like hillbillies most of the time, i mean imagine bad influence in wwe? they would get huge laughs i think, saying that they would be fueding with los materodres on superstars too. i just dont know what dixie partys plan is either hire russo and go all out crash tv,dont listen to backstage politicians and change course every 6 months or go with wrestling based booking and try be like roh and put on great matches, dont change course every 6 months! or sell right now it just looks like cost cutting and no real identity. |

Maybe the problem with the crowds is that they are there for ages if multiple shows are taped so they start to lose enthusiasm towards the end. Do they change the crowds during tapings?
Is the Glasgow show being shown live tonight on Challenge? I agree with Whedon247 that TNA just lacks spark at the moment. Hopefully the investor thing will usher in some fresh wrestlers to kill this Dixie story (please no stable wars) and give the show a bit of spark. |

I've no idea what the plan is going forward. The weird thing is that nothing seems to affect their ratings by very much. That makes it hard for them to know what to do. I strongly suspect the Carters have decided that the company has to break even from now on, and I get the feeling the books are still being balanced. So we can expect anyone highly paid to disappear when they're due to renew their contract, unless they'll accept a pay cut. Also, it's been shown that live vs taped doesn't make a difference to ratings, and neither does being on the road. So we can probably expect mostly taped shows from a fixed location. It looks like they're moving back to having more live PPVs. I suspect they were actually turning a small profit. In terms of creative direction, car crash TV has overall seemed to do slightly better ratings than high quality wrestling, so we'll probably see more of that. Those are my total guesses and speculation. |

I'm not even sure that it's car crash TV putting up the ratings or whether it's just because they're promoting big matches the week ahead. Both the Sting and AJ title matches were made the week before and gave fans something to look forward to. That sort of week to week booking works a treat for NXT and I think TNA should continue in that vien, keeping it simple. They clearly have a solid base of support that will tune in no matter what so they just need to sort out the financial situation before there is any real chance to branch out again.

Is the Glasgow show being shown live tonight on Challenge?
Is this the first time the UK have had a show earlier than the US? |

A&8 would've been fine as an upper midcard stable I think, though Bully himself is good as a top heel. It went on too long and the reveals were weak. TNA could do with a 3 year moratorium on man event stables tbh.
