Title changes on house shows are a good thing. Makes them look like they're worthwhile going to them.

On a slightly off topic note, I saw Doug Williams on Saturday night at the WAW Epic Encounters event that was held in Norwich. He won the then vacant WAW Title after Steve Corino was unable to continue the match after being busted open. So seeing Doug Williams in a TNA match last night was strange, even tho it was filmed a few weeks ago.

BTW, I review Impact on a blog I do:
http://creepytennis.wordpress.com/ Probably it's a bit self-indulgent. I just think so much of what's written about TNA on the internet lacks balance, so I thought I'd do something which at least tried to be more objective. Also if I didn't get this stuff out of my system I'd be (even more) completely intolerable on here! |

I wouldn't be surprised if Angle has had his last match. He won't pass the WWE medical, he presumably won't sign again with TNA, and god knows why he'd want to job to TNA mid carders at this stage.

I was a little unsure about the Samuel Shaw stuff for a while. It did make me feel a little uncomfortable although in context that is not necessarily a bad thing.
Turns out though that the emergence of his "Creepy Bar-steward" character with the ability to put anyone to sleep at the drop of a hat with his standing choke hold is in fact yet another example of TNA succeeding in quickly transforming a mediocre newcomer into a fairly credible and fearsome heel character. |

Another thing, what's all this cobblers about win by submission or tap-out or knock-out?
A tap-out IS a submission. Was this because MVP muffed up the line in his promo and so they decided to keep it it going like that? |

He's pulling it off as well as he is really good on the mic & convincing as a creepy barsteward (Anderson is playing his part too) and like you said - he's gone from midcarder imo to must watch heel with his new gimmick! Him and EC3 are the reasons to watch at present and also Austin Aries as ever. Throw in the Wolves with their impact, credible ownership/control storylines and can't wait for Lockdown tonight/Wednesday night on Challenge

Last night's Lockdown show seems to have garnered decent reviews so I'm looking forward to it showing on Challenge this Wednesday. I think TNA is in a decent place right now actually. They've got some new faces (MVP, Wolves, EC3) different people at the top (Magnus, Joe, Gunner, Storm) interesting characters (Shaw, Willow) and a decent range of stories rather than the top story being too dominant, which is normally a problem for TNA.

Reading that Daniels and Kazarian may well be done with TNA now ..
If true, coming after they let AJ go, it's an utterly ridiculous move. |

Supposedly Daniels contract is up in April.
Probably want to replace him with someone cheaper. I think a lot of these guys are waiting to see what Jarrett does. |

If true, coming after they let AJ go, it's an utterly ridiculous move. I like Kaz and Daniels, but they're not major players. This is how you do contract negotiation anyway; phase them off TV in case they don't resign. If anything AJ was the screw up. They were too overconfident he would re-sign and it left them in a difficult place creatively when he didn't. TNA are a small company, and if Kaz and Daniels are on more than they're worth they've got to be cut loose. Hope not, especially Kaz, but that's how it goes. |

It would be disappointing to see Daniels and Kaz go - a feud between them and The Wolves would provide some good matches. However, it's hardly going to hurt TNA very much if they go. Without Hogan, Sting, Styles etc. they've managed to bring some newer faces up the card and integrate interesting wrestlers. If they can get in a few cheaper indy guys to build up the X-division and tag division again, I think their roster will be in a very good place.
I'm enjoying the new guys like Shaw (great at his character and I don't care if it's over the top) The Wolves, ECIII and Tigre Uno. |

Good edition of Impact tonight.
I liked Abyss' new look, but I'm not sure I buy his new alliance. Doesn't seem to work for me. But I laughed at the banner that said 'Magnus is a w*nker'. It's not a well known word in the States which is probably why it got shown on TV. And Spud needs his own show. He's a fantastic character. |
