Anyone know how big the crowd will be tonight? The set looks good.

Glad Velvet kept the womens belt, what a babe, main reason i watch TNA tbh
Lady Referee could be quite the wrestler herself.

Talking of the 3 man announce team, they have gotten better together since Tazz's heel turn.
Spend most of their time squabbling with each other heh, there are also strange long silences where you can imagine them glaring at each other heh

I can see her eventually having a match with Gail Kim after that at Lock Down.

Anyone think they should have used someone else instead of Bully Ray, as he was just to obvious imo, killed the storyline.

Surely Aj Styles will turn out to be the Saviour of Team TNA over the A&E's probably at Slamaversary, given that the A&Es will have been there for a year exactly since they arrived to end Stings Hall Of Fame fun.

TNA did the right thing. They went with probably the most logical guy. Although the hardcore guys might think it's predictable, I think the average casual fan was probably unaware of it being Bully Ray.

Yeah, it does look more and more like AJ is playing the Sting role in the nWo 2013 storyline.

Impact was very good this week. The setup looked great.

Will DLo be wrestling matches? Was a big fan of him as a kid, though I don't really know if he's retired in-ring or not.

I always liked D'lo, he got jobbed due to the Droz incident, which no one can have an opinion on cos no ones seen it, he was good on the mic and had good match ups.

I assume he still wrestles as he does the boot camps that TNA hold.

I'm really into TNA at the minute, it reminds me of wrestling back in 1997 when it was growing and production values were lower. I watched a RAW is WAR from June 2001 last night, it amazes me how poor WWE is compared to 12 years ago, I would even say the RAW is WAR would get a PG rating, there was nothing adult on it, just good story telling and matches.

The long silences are actually a Challenge edit - if you watch the SpikeTV broadcast version there's a lot of commentary about where they're hosting Impact next and hyping up Bellator MMA. For one reason or another, Challenge always cut that stuff out. It might be because it's irrelevant to our broadcast, or maybe there's some legal reasons, but it does partly explain why we have to wait three days to see the episode.

It is slightly annoying when Challenge do that, Sky (who own Challenge) don't do it with Raw

I guessed thats what it was. As I mentioned before Ive been watching Nitros from the Monday Night Wars era that have been taped off US TV and the amount of selling tickets for house shows, plugging the WCW hotline and merch is crazy-and I dont remember it being that bad when I watched it on TNT back in the day.

This is the best Impact I've seen, only half way through, the Hogan Sting bit was brilliant.

6,700 seems to be the attendance quoted in this weeks Observer at press time. TNA had sold more than 4,000 tickets the night before the show.

Yeah, they would have got a cheap rate as they did with the some of the other buildings they've ran for PPV's over the last few years.
There is little point talking about attendance figures in wrestling; even in real sports issue worked attendance figures are common- there was IIRC an Arsenal v Leyton Orient FA cup game in 2011 that Arsenal claimed 59 thousand were at even though the 60k ground was clearly less than half full on TV. (Presumably counting all their 35 thousand season ticket holders as turning up, even if hardly any actually did)

Wrestling companies are gonna issue worked figures, that's the nature of the beast.

There's no way Arsenal would say more were at the game, they'd have to pay tax on the annouced attendance, 59k was maybe the paid amount?

I know of games at my club Hull City where they lowered the actual attendance, this was back in the 90's when we played at Boothferry Park, health and safety said we could only put 15,000 in it, yet it could hold more.

Maybe it was the paid amount, but it wasn't the actual. I just mention it because it was in the news in Scotland this week that Rangers & Celtic's attendance figures are works basically- http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/f...ces-up-1767244
