Can I assume that your defensiveness is tongue in cheek?

i am a huge russo fan and think current tna product is worlds away from anything he would put on. (and thats just format wise)

To be fair, I've often thought I could mention Russo in any thread and you'd pop up lol. It's like you have a Russo detector

Wonky name. Hope it does well. Give talent another place to go.

News out today that Christy Hemme has been promoted to Creative. I'm assuming overseeing the Knockouts.

Also X division themed PPV being taped this week with some decent names.

This company is really in a hole at the minute, I don't even care when i miss it now

According the Wrestling Observer Radio today, Prince Devitt from New Japan has handed in his notice and is expected to head to WWE. However, TNA are supposedly making a huge move to get him.

A very talented guy.

In the early days of TNA, I was a self confessed mark. Loved it. Had the tapes sent over from worldwide traders, bought merch from ebay, couldn't get enough TNA.

Now though, and I hate to say this, perhaps it's time the company was put out of it's misery.

If TNA can't return to former glories and be a successful alternative to WWE, and if ROH or (unlikely) CZW fill that spot, I wish Jarrett's new company the best of luck.

The more wrestling, the better

Surprised to see the negative feelings for Impact. I thought it was a big improvement from last week. In particular the opening match was a riot. Come on guys, Spud wheelchaired himself to the ring (what was he going to do?) and got dropkicked out of it. What's not to like?

I'm glad they're expanding Shaw's character to encompass "pretentious artist" as well as Christy-stalker.

I'm still worried about Aries' status. And with the title on Magnus, Kurt out and (IMO) Joe failing to step up, there's a real lack of star power around the belt. Apart from that I thoroughly enjoyed it, and this was a non Storm / Gunner (top feud IMO) episode too.

Last night I watched impact then raw afterwards! ... The gulf in quality is frightening IMO! ... I watch wrestling to be entertained & the last 2 weeks of tna have been a chore to watch, it's just so mind numbingly boring I literally sit there wondering why am I watching this shite!

(Hell even wwe main event & superstars on the network are more entertaining then impact ATM!)

Well, you're obviously entitled to your opinion. Raw has had some great segments recently, mostly involving the Shield, although I still think the three hour format makes it drag.

Obviously the production values are in another stratosphere, but entertainment-wise, I usually find Impact has the edge for me personally. That's at least 50% down to Raw being too long though. A two hour Raw would really give Impact a run for its money.

Probably not worth bumping the "US Pace" thread, so i'll just spoiler this regarding an upcoming title change ..

Spoiler
Eric Young wins the WORLD Title ..

You'd assume a short term champion for a week or two, but I suppose stranger things have happened

Horrendous booking decision. Seems like a cheap rip off of Daniel Bryan's big moment from Wrestlemania.

i think short term title reigns like this aren't necessarily a bad thing - obviously assuming it is a short term reign. The crowd gets a buzz when the face wins and the heel is just that little bit more "evil" when they conspire to screw the face for the title immediately in the rematch.

I would say it's a Bryan thing. I don't mind a short change and the Sabin thing was fine. However, I think it has really undermined Magnus as a top heel. Also, if it is short term and Magus gets the belt back at Sacrifice (which would make sense) then it doesn't seem as big a moment when Magnus finally loses the belt for good to the next top face.
