Challenge don't do a good job of promoting these shows. I didn't even realise it was on tonight until I read this thread.

I don't think Sky Sports do. I don't understand why challenge don't advertise, but then again I suppose that it gets good enough viewing figures to not do so. Isn't it Challenge's highest rating show most weeks?

Phew! Well then I retract my comment Although I still insist I find a lot to enjoy in Impact and I'll be sad if it gets cancelled.

I have to admit though, I just can't find the time to watch the One Night Only PPVs. I just can't get into shows which are, er, non-cannon so to speak. I guess I need my storyline fix with my wrestling.

Every WWE episode I've ever seen bores me rigid.

Would have been better if they had shown this in feb/march since most of the storylines out of date now.,

I thought it was quite an entertaining One Night Only event.
Obviously the enthusiastic UK crowd helped a lot. Taz and Tenay were in a funny mood and their slightly different manner added to the overall feel of it. Storylines from Impact were largely suppressed (sensibly). OTTR Battle Royals with the countdowns have always been the best format. Royal Rumble was always my favourite in the days when I used to watch WWF/WWE.

I sometimes find Spud a little too silly, but his antics on this occasion were funny and he was the star of the show. The one-percenter on EY was good and he sold the move well. I hope we get to see more of the wrestlers get nailed with it (including the likes of Lashley - at least once). If Vince McM is so smart how did he fail to recognise the potential of EC3?

The end result was good with the 100.000 dollar prize going to the character who has enough money already.

I only watched Joker's Wild 2 because it was filmed in the UK.
But it was great, very entertaining.

It didn't need to fit into any story timeline, because the picking of random tag teams was a story in itself.

Spud & Bully Ray vs Mr Anderson & Austin Aries was particularly hilarious.

TNA Xplosion will be on TOMORROW NIGHT at Midnight. This is the one postponed from Tuesday.

Yes - it's a strange one. Viewing figures in the US have steadily dropped since 2011 (when TNA first came to Challenge), but here they plateaued around the 250,000 mark, and generally speaking, haven't shifted around too much since then. The last two weeks have scored 238 and 242,000 viewers.

I think there's a big untapped market for wrestling on free TV in the UK. WWF Heat on Channel 4 back in the day got great ratings too.

Well Spike's owner Viacom has just purchased Channel 5. Not saying it will happen but it would be good.

When does TNA's current deal with Challenge end? Impact on Channel 5 in a prime time slot would be great exposure for them.

I'm not too sure to be honest. I doubt they would get big primetime, but I could see maybe a 10/10.30pm Saturday night slot

If TNA got on Channel Five it would be brilliant for them. A lot of casual WWE fans would be more likely to stumble across the show and give it a watch. In fact, if they do get on 5, Dixie should just relocate to the UK.

Do we really need another heel authority figure? It's been done to death over the past 15 years.

TNA Saturday Morning Slam? No but I do think it's good idea. Get the kids hooked on the Saturday morning show and hopefully that will translate to even better IMPACT! ratings than they currently get

I think the Saturday morning Xplosion is worth a shot. I'm not really the target demographic! But as Dixie says there are loads of kids at the Maximum Impact shows, so go for it.

Caught Impact last night. I was despairing at EY's lack of heat and the horrible piped-in boos and cheers. I'd rather they just left the sound alone. If the crowd aren't reacting how TNA would like (or not at all) that's half the fun. No need to be so insecure and precious about it.

The show livened up for me when Austin and then the Menagerie appeared. By the end I was pretty entertained. Fun swerves, and MVP is an even better heel than face. So smug and hate-able.

I worry that they're turning too many people heel, and I agree that the heel authority angle is overdone. However, if you think for a moment about who exactly MVP has made an enemy of over the past few months, they might just be slow building to something pretty awesome. If I had to guess I'd say it's all building to the New York tapings.
