Going by the end of last night impact it look like there going to be a new faction.
I noticed the black evolution putting the boot 2 Daniel Bryan (EY) aswell!

(Hadn't watched for awhile & was curious!)

To be fair EY had the beard long befor Daniel.

The Menagerie might be compared to a WWE faction.(run)

Creationism as it's been nicknamed on the F4W board.
That's brilliant.

i am a week behind , last one i saw is where mvp turns on EY

swerves just dont work when fans are not paying attention lol. get out of the impact zone!

only good thing was ladder tag match with wolves and bromans, that was great.
Hopefully the New York tapings bring a lively crowd that lift things a bit. They've got to put on something good though because that sort of crowd could easily turn on them and we'll get loads of crappy sound edits.

On the Bryan and Vinny show on the site, they usually have site made drops. They got Vinny to read out a little definition about creationism and dubbed it over the Evolution theme.

Worrying sign for Impact in the States is that the ratings pattern for Impact for the last 3 weeks straight the show has lost viewers in every segment from start to finish. Always a worrying sign for any TV show.

Oh God, I need to hear that. I actually really like their show but I've only heard old episodes on Youtube cause I'm not sure about paying a subscription.

Sorry to bite on this, but isn't that a common pattern for wrestling shows? They generally lose viewers throughout the show? Plus I would expect a show which starts at 9pm and ends at 11pm to lose viewers as it gets later.

Certainly I can remember "Impact LOST viewers in this segment ... Impact LOST viewers in this demographic" being repeated over and over in every dirtsheet "report" on Impact's ratings as long as I can remember. So at least it's not a new thing!

Raw usually peaks in the second hour before dropping back down in the third. I don't think TNA's ratings are that bad at all, not exceptional by any means, but the are doing well on that front.

I've had a subscription for years. The audio and newsletters are excellent. The messageboard goes from awful to amazing at times. The thread about your favourite wrestling moment cruedly drawn is brilliant.

If you don't want to pay for the audio, F4Wlive plays the audio live, but the shows are usually on from midnight so not the best unless you're a night owl. The torrent sites usually post the shows as well.

2 hour wrestling shows tend to build to a peak, usually the final segment. Obviously you get shows that peak earlier but return to the standard viewing pattern the following week.

Impact this week bar one segment lost viewers in every single segment. The show started at a 1.03 and ended at 0.69. It's also the 3 straight Eric Young title match where its lost viewers, which does open up the question if he should be Champion. He was a comedy act for so many years, I don't think the casual fan takes him at that level.

Eric Young is a talented guy, but he's stereotyped as a comedy act.

Well you know, I can't speak for other people. I've wanted them to push EY for years and I'm enjoying his reign. Thinking about it though, I agree the casual fan might find it confusing having him as champ. Smarks know he's a good worker, but to a non-smarkey audience it must be like Santino getting the belt or something.

I don't know. With TNA's current roster, were there *any* other eligible faces they could have put it on?

tna roster sucks. its like they were that russian team anzi who had whos who of players on roster, then they budgeted and replaced them all with nobodies.

kurt angle needs to leave, go to wwe and wrestle 2-3 times a year, he is wasted in tna

Rotate him with Brock so they are never there at the same time ,Then in a year or 2 bring them head to head

Face Bully Ray? Anderson or Hardy? Joe?

I think they ended Magnus' reign too abruptly. They might have been better building it to a big climax at Slammiversary, even for Young to take it.

WWE don't want Angle back.

From this week's Observer
The deal with Kurt Angle and WWE, and this is why there was no response from WWE to him the last time his contract was due, is that after being scared in 2006, Vince McMahon made the call that no matter what, there was not going to be an Olympic gold medalist dying on WWE’s watch. It perhaps was overblown when people said he was on death watch, but even before Benoit, and far more since, the issue has been, even if the chance was slim, this, at least a few years ago, was simply a risk McMahon wasn’t willing to take. They were already starting to push Angle’s comeback on Impact this week, saying it’s a five month countdown which would be mid-October. That would be after his deal expires, so maybe they’ve made the call they’ll keep him, figuring if they don’t sign him he may end up with Jeff Jarrett. Then again, given how they pushed Hogan and Styles at the end and didn’t sign them, especially Styles, what would be considered basic pro wrestling television logic doesn’t exactly apply here.

Anderson is a good call. Hardy's busy establishing Willow. Joe's too out of shape. Bully's had it too recently.

In retrospect, I agree they took it off Magnus too soon. The EY win was a nice surprise, but given his low status on the roster up until that point, I now agree that it would have been a lot better with a build, maybe until Slammi yeah.

I found Impact a little heavy going this week. Lots of talking and heel beatdowns.

However, ARIES!! I loved the way, in typical Aries fashion, he couldn't pass up the opportunity to remind us he was proved right about MVP!

Also, MVP's faction are suitably hate-able and he's still solid gold on the mic. Kenny King is great as a kind of hyperactive, manic henchman. And Lashley doesn't have to talk.

So yeah, a decent enough show in some ways. But still: Very thin roster, lack of star power, and the Impact Zone is dark and dead and depressing. I can't wait until they get out of there again.

This week's Impact was very repetitive. They were obviously marking time. Too much talking, too much of MVP, King and Lashley beating down whoever came to the ring, over and over.
And Seibu is right - the roster seemed very light this week. Apart from the welcome return of Austin Aries we needed some of Roode, Anderson, Storm, Joe etc to give the show a bit more weight (and not some dumb drinking competition between Ken and James).

EY is still working his socks off on the mic and in the ring and Willow / Magnus wasn't bad, but the Willow character is hard to like, whereas Hardy as Hardy seemed to engage the crowd and enthuse the crowd a whole lot more. And the Impact Zone badly needs a kick up the arse - what a lacklustre audience!

Whats worrying is the way hes headed he could die in the ring and im suprised TNA hasent taken steps to prevent this.

Well you would have thought they would have made sure he had someone else drive him after the first 3 arrests for drink driving, but they didn't.

I don't know if it was because I watched without my usual friend this week, but Impact dragged a little for me last night. I wasn't at all convinced by having an awkward face / face match as the main event. It didn't make me look forward to the match at all.

More positively, I still think The Menagerie are great fun, and Bram showed a lot of potential with his character in the ring. Joe got a good pop. The de facto face faction which is coming together is genuinely over and talented. EY, Aries, Joe; I can cheer for those guys. Joe in particular got a great pop.

I just can't wait until we're out of the Impact Zone again. Damn dark dingy place. Ugh.

I enjoyed this weeks Impact more then last week, as someone else said it was a bit repetetive last week, Really enjoyed Bully Ray just kicking EC3 in the head when he'd just had enough of all the crap including all the different ways MVP's guys managed to find a way to be at ringside (Guest Announcer, Special Enforcer, Guest Timekeeper!)

Looked as though one of the wolves missed the doiuble foot stomp off the top rope, which is probably a good thing, as it looks a pretty dangerous move to pull off when it is hit fully.

It is an intersting twist to have Brittany be in love with Maddison, at least now there is more then just the beautiful people every week .

Yes, that's a nasty looking move. I can't really see how they can do that one without it really hurting. I mean, how do you pull back on a double foot stomp?
