Is there much of a delay on IMPACT being shown in the UK?

I watched some of it last night for the first time in ages but thought I had read in the last Power Slam mag that Dixie had been put through a table.

Is it a few weeks behind?

There's no delay, but the table spot was recorded weeks ago - that's probably why it's been in Powerslam.

Yes, while all you maggots (to use a wrestling term-of-endearment) were banging on about Russo, I was the only one who correctly predicted that Dixie would go through a table.

The New York iMpacts have been pretty good. The crowd were great. Funny that they all had Heads when Al Snow made the surprise appearance. Low Ki is looking impressive despite not winning the title.

Could they come to an arrangement with the owners of the Manhattan Centre to tape Impact there regularly, like WWE did with Raw back in 1993?

Perhaps they could, although the crowd might get burned out eventually. I think the best policy would be to keep booking little runs at smaller venues like they've been doing since Slammi. 3 nights filming = 6 episodes. So that's only 8-9 filming runs a year. The PPVs could slot between runs; it's workable.

Of course, any TNA at all post-October would be welcome at this point!

Great Impact again last night. I wonder if this is really the end of Dixie as an on-screen character? They've been on fire since Slammi. If they're going out at least they're going out on a high.

I think the problem with residencies is people get worn out, Impact Zone wasn't bad at first but now I think the same people (possibly non-paying) are going every week and they are burned out. If going on the road isn't viable, they should possibly look to do four blocks of three months each in different locations to keep the crowd fresh.

Watched the triple threat from Unbreakable again on Wednesday. Really is one of the best matches i've ever seen.

Was interesting seeing some of the old familiar faces as well.

Maybe some good news. IMPACT is moving to Wednesday nights as of next week so maybe a new deal with Spike has been done. I don't see why they would move slot for a month if they were going to cancel.

Could maybe have something to do with Smackdown possibly moving back to Thursdays so it seems there will be no Thursday Night War.

It's a sensible move by TNA. Not only will it avoid a clash with Smackdown, but it also won't be going head to head with the Thursday night NFL games as well.

It's so sensible from TNA management I'm almost doubting whether it's real

It's Dixie who missed the table, Bubba went through it and Dixie went straight to the mat (if she hit the table it would have slowed down her fall).

Just goes to show how much of a crazy decisiion it was to do it, when you think about it you are going to power bomb a 49 year old (untrained) woman off the top rope onto a woden table what part of that sounds safe! It's one thing to do it with a trained wrestler but to do it to Dixie Carter just rediculous. The whole set up to it as well was a bit stupid as well, firing the 2 big guys then the whole of the roster coming out to stop her escaping.

The move was executed fine, Bubba went out of his way to take most of the impact. Dixie is just a weakling.

Mae Young got powerbombed off the stage when she was pushing 80 and she was fine.

That's a bit harsh - I doubt many 49 year old women, who had never wrestled before, let alone taken a powerbomb before, would get up without a scratch. Much as dislike what DC has done, business-wise, with TNA I think that was a very brave (perhaps a tad foolish) move to agree to take.
Mae Young may well have been in her late 70s when Bubba powerbombed her (and that was quite a fall for someone that age), but she had been wrestling all her life and was an incredibly tough old bird.

She had a few bruises but the 'broken back' is all storyline

I sure i remember hearing she had a right go at him afterwards as well. She felt he went to easy on her and protected her too much.

They dont make them like her anymore

If you go back and watch the Mae Young powerbomb again you'll notice it wasn't actually two tables she went through.

It was two table tops with the legs removed stuck to a black cloth draped over some crash mats.

Im sure it was confirmed it wasn't a storyline, and she did indeed break her back.

PWinsider is reporting Bully Ray is done with TNA, his contract is up and is not being renewed.

Ray is rumoured to be in the same boat as Angle where WWE don't want him, so for him not to get a new deal is a bad sign, as he presumably would have wanted to stay.

God, I hope that's not true.
Out of all the recent leavers from TNA, Bully Ray would be missed the most I think. Look at the response he's been getting from the crowds in New York, and look at the smile on his face too - he's clearly been having the best time recently. How the hell can TNA NOT renew his contract?
